Saved my life by being persistent in pursuing a small anomaly in my psa. He arranged a mri in madison which uncovered a small, hidden, cancer, which led to 9 weeks of radiation and an rx for the rest of my life. At our last meeting (2 1/2 years after discovery) my psa was normal. There is no doubt Dr. Houlihan saved my life. Thanks doc!!

Dr Houlihan is an excellent urologist. He has been treating my husband for approximately 10 years due to bladder cancer. He has excellent bedside manner. He is thorough and has taken excellent care of my husband.

Dr Houlihan was terrible. I tried explaining to him prior to the procedure that I have a high tolerance to locals and that he would need to not only administer more, but wait a bit longer prior to starting the procedure (vasectomy). He didn't listen. First side hurt. Didn't learn from that, and started the left side which was excruciating. When I screamed in pain, he merely said "shhhh" and when I commented on the pain, he told me I complained about everything. Terrible doctor

The staff at this office is horrible. The roomer was very rude, they were not prepared for visit even though I sent all of my records to the office before appt with confirmation of fax received, they could not find records. The roomer just kept saying "I do not physically have them, I have not physically seen them"When asked if they could be down in medical records her responds was "I don't know, there is a lot of papers down there" Really?? Dr Houlihan even seemed frustrated with them.

I found Dr. Houlihan a very congenial, laid back, humorous, physician. Great bedside manner. My lady friend and I were howling with laughter during my first, and only visit with him. My diagnosis turned out to be not serious If I had something more serious, maybe things would be different. So, I won't be seeing him for awhile, hopefully. In fairness, you have to see a doctor more than once in order to gauge them. But, will say again, I was very impressed.

His behavior was very upsetting. My husband was suffering horribly and he spent less than 5 minutes. We were lucky not to have him as a surgeon. His partner however was wonderful and we were grateful for him We can honestly not even give him one star.
