Dr. Daniel Kellum, MD

I have been going to this practice for ten years, I have had ups and downs but never left a review. I began seeing a nurse practitioner there and had good experiences with them. I am able to get appointments within a reasonable amount of time, and the wait to be seen once I'm there is reasonable. I am currently seeing Sophia Luna myself, and my daughter sees Clarissa Richards. I am pleased with both, but my issue is the communication. I cannot get a response to my voice mails or to numerous messages I have been leaving for over a month on the patient portal. My daughter needs a referral to a specialist and I cannot get the referral or a response. We are forced to find a new practice so that we can get a referral for her. Very disappointing.

I registered to have this doctor as my primary care physician in January and made a file over the phone. I then tried to make an appointment when I got sick and was told he isn't taking new patients on my insurance plan. When I explained I was an existing patient I was told that he cancelled all patients with an appointment already and all those with files - without notice- and isn't taking the insurance. I needed to see a doctor and they didn't care! I waited 57 minutes on hold for them to NOT CARE - she was apologetic but this is the way the doctor operates. I DON'T RECOMMEND A DOCTOR THAT DROPS PATIENTS LIKE THIS!! DON'T USE THIS DOCTOR.

In the beginning,the only problem I noticed was that the woman in the referral department didn't get referrals faxed. There were times someone from the specialist's office had to contact her to remind her to fax the referral. But for the last few months, it seems like she has forgotten how to even make out the referrals. When I had to contact her over and over again to correct a mistake on a referral, she corrected one mistake, but then turned around and undid a previous correction on that referral. So every referral for the last few months has always had a mistake somewhere on it It has been taking weeks to get her to write a referral semi correctly. And then she continues to have problems getting them faxed. I have had to print out referrals with the least amount of mistakes and hand carry it to the specialist's office to make an appointment. I have tried repeatedly to get someone there to get her to do referrals correctly, but nothing gets done to fix the problem.

Dr. Kellum Jr. is one of the best doctors I've ever had. He listens and he's caring and he actually takes care of the patient. He also is amazingly smart. He remembers your name and your face when you go to see him, you are not just a chart. I don't even mind the wait because I know that when I get in to see him, he is willing to spend the time taking care of me as well. I was sad when we changed insurance and had to leave the practice because they didn't accept that insurance at the time.

Simply thebest...excellent bedside manner, and really listens to his patients. I have no problem firing a medical professional that I cannot trust, so Dr. Kellum has been my primary care physician for over 6 years now.

Been going for 8 years he's a great doctor love staff very friendly. Can't wait to get back to a doctor that knows me and my health.

2 hours wait every time I have an appointment. My mother who is very ill had a 4 hour wait a few months ago. I've been in twice in the last month for breathing problems and they never even considered sending me for an MRI of my lungs. The Dr said there is nothing more they can do for me. Unbelievable!

I had been a patient over 10 years. They closed their office and moved locations. I was never even notified. There is no excuse for this, period. Lack of visits with the actual doctor. Too many appointments made to see a PA.

Dr. Kellum Jr. is GREAT, love him, however, the office staff, specifically the front office staff, leaves ALOT to be desired. I don't mind the waiting 2 hrs past my appointment time, if it means I get to see Jr., however, I will NOT tolerate being called a liar & trying to force me to pay for something that cannot be explained to me what its for.

Dr Kellum is a good and through dr is you don't mind the 3 hour wait past your appointment time! Even though this is the same every day you are not even able to call ahead and schedule your time accordingly. The staff are nice and are clearly aware of the issues yet this continues. Now I have to find another doc because I can't keep wasting my time at doctors office every time I need to come.
