Dr. Daniel Levine, MD

I saw him some time ago.I found him to be the greediest doctor I had ever experienced. He accepts no insurance and charges exorbitant prices. The standard practice is to give 90 days on a refill he will only give you 30 days and he does not care if you go without your medication. Money is his main priority. I found him to be condescending, I think he has a very high opinion of himself, I do not share this. I saw him once in person and two phone conversations, I had to immediately look for a new doctor after he was taunting me in his tone that he did not think I would find a new doctor. I did!

Dr. Levine spent more time with me listening and understanding my situation than any other psychiatrist I have seen. I never felt rushed or misunderstood. He is compassionate and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

I saw Dr. Levine for many years; he was an excellent match for me and helped me manage my depression and diagnosed attention deficit. The alleviation of ADD helped tremendously! I left because my circumstances changed. He does listen and helps the patient determine coping mechanisms. Strongly recommend Dr. Levine.

My husband has been seeing dr Levine since Jan 2010 for depression. He was able to find a combination of drugs to pull him out of the first severe episode and worked with other Drs collegially that we consulted to pull him out of second severe episode. He has been stable for almost 2 years. Dr Levine is very kind and self effacing. The prior review about being condescending or ungenerous with his time does not ring true for us. We suspect his manner was misconstrued.

Based on my two visits for consultation with Dr. Levine and compared to other practitioners I've consulted, I would not recommend this practitioner. I did not find my overall experience favorable nor beneficial, and found this Doctor somewhat pretentious and condescending in style, and not all that concerned with the quality of the outcome of my visits, even to the point where he became petty with his time. Not a very altruistic approach that I experienced.
