Dr.Nielson is very personable and answered all of my questions and concerns. He made me feel comfortable with the procedure and made sure I understood everything. His staff is also very helpful and amazing. I was very nervous about my wisdom teeth removal but everyone made me feel so comfortable. They send you home with thorough home care instructions which is very helpful. Overall I had an amazing experience and would highly recommend Dr.Neilson’s practice.

Dr Dan is one of the best oral surgeons in the business. He articulated the procedure very clearly to me in terms I could understand medically. He was exceptionally professional. He made the process fairly routine. He constantly checked on me to make sure there was no pain. His staff was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Great Plains Oral Surgery to anyone.

I have gone to Dr. Nielson for several tooth extractions as well as an extraction and bone graft preparing for an implant. The staff starting at the reception desk is courteous and kind. They inform you as to what will actually happen during the sedation and procedures. Once in the surgical room, they work like a fine tuned machine. I have in the past had issues with IV insertion but the nurse does everything to make sure she is finding a good vein the first time with very little discomfort. The evening after your procedure, Dr. Nielsen personally calls you to see how you are doing and whether or not you need anything. I would definitely recommend Great Plains for any procedure that they perform. Just as an extra note, their office is very clean and well organized.

All I can say is a perfect experience from start to finish. Very professional and caring. Never felt a thing and the doctor and staff are the best.

Very friendly and well qualified

This was the second time in three years I had to have a tooth extraction. This time including a bone graft. Once again, everyone from the front desk to Dr. Neilson were very professional, personal, and made me to feel very at ease during my visit. Dr. Neilson's work is excellent, and his staff is well trained and friendly. If such services are needed again, I'll be glad to return to Great Plains!

Dr Nielson has performed 2 tooth extractions over the past year. Both extractions were nearly painless and as comfortable as could be expected. Very patient and took time to explain the process.

I absolutely love that Dr. Nielson walked in and treated me like a new friend as a guest in his home, instead of a stranger that hadn't taken care of myself and now needed his education to remove a part of my body. He calmed my nerves by being clear on his plan, then talking through the process. I had ZERO discomfort or pain. I highly recommend Dr. Nielson and his team.
