Words cannot express how grateful my family and I are to Dr. Daniel Eduardo Sarmiento Garzon and his team. When my 18-year-old daughter first visited his office, he provided us with so much valuable information, explaining what to expect both now and in the future. From the moment we left his office, we felt we were in excellent hands. Earlier this year, Dr. Daniel performed surgery to remove my daughter’s colon, and he did an amazing job—so much so that she didn’t need a colostomy bag. Even though my daughter experienced some pain, Dr. Daniel and his team were always there for her. He ensured that this process wouldn’t interfere with her school schedule, which was so important to us. To this day, he continues to be a supportive presence in my daughter’s care. Doctor was pleasant and clearly defined the situation and options. He shared his expectations of the procedure and his recommendations based on the situations. He used diagrams to describe the procedure and the reasons it was needed.

The surgeon gave me a referral for a new GI doctor because I requested while I was still in the hospital and then at my last follow up appointment he made sure that I got setup with an appointment with a GI to ensure I would be getting the testing and treatment I will need in the future. He didn't ask as if he was pushing the doctor he referred me to but instead just made sure that I was going to be seeing a GI doctor. I am going to the referred doctor but it was nice to see that what was important to him was that I would be getting the care I need. He by far was the best doctor I have had in a while from the moment in the ER to the last appointment I felt comfortable and confident that I was in good hands with my health.
