Dr. Single did my hip replacement in 10/2015. He has the best Dr. /patient manner. Excellent surgeon. I had excellent results from my surgery, still going strong 6 years later. You could not ask for a more caring and professional Dr. Definitely a 5 star Dr.

At 60 I still consider myself an active person and an athlete. When my left hip started hurting bad 2 years ago,I passed it off as a groin problem and tried to muscle thru it. As it progressed to a limp and severe pain, my family Dr. Sent me to Dr Single. His staff , his assistant Bryce are kind and spot-on professional. I grew up and spent most of my life on Long Islands North Shore, the Gold Coast, the Miracle Mile Billy Joel mentions in his song. I had access to top notch doctors. The moment Dr Single came in the room I felt completely confident in him. By the way, I had my surgery 8.5 hours ago. The care I received at Tidelands Waccamaw Surgical was the best hospital experience I have ever encountered. Every person was kind, patient and genuinely caring. I'm walking with my walker already and am amazed by how balanced and comfortable I feel. Thank You so Much Dr.Single and all your associates. Elisa C.

I am 2 years beyond my total knee replacement that was done by Dan Single. I cannot say enough about his practice. He is damn good and cares about every knee he treats! I highly recommend him. My new knee allows me to do all the things I couldn't do--walk, run, climb ladders, bike. Dr. Single is a really great doc.

I had my knee replaced by Dr. Single, and I’ve had nothing but problems since. I had the surgery done months ago, despite doing the prescribed exercises and follow-up visits, every time I go in to see him he tells me the same thing. My prosthetic device is “rock solid.” Yet the area around the knee is swollen. It started buckling early on, then the whole leg collapsed. There are weird bumps on this knee that are very prominent. If anything is “rock hard” it’s those ugly lumps! I was told these are these are “internal stitches” and that they’ll always be there. My other knee was replaced about 20 years ago (by an orthopedist in NJ), and I have NONE of these problems with it. Then, there is the wait time in trying to see Dr. Single for follow ups. Not to mention wait times in the Waiting Room and a 2nd room they put patients in with more waiting! Lots of waiting, no resolutions. My experience was bad, and I felt it was time to voice my opinion.

I was familiar with the group through another issue and when I was injured and needed emergency help I asked for them. Dr Single was the physician who operated on me. He did a wonderful job and has been there to answer any questions I have had. He is kind and compassionate as well as being extremely competent, in my experience. I was fortunate to have him.

I was seriously injured in a fall when on vacation from out of state. It took a very long surgery and a high degree of skill to put me back together again. What a gift to have this surgeon available. I couldn't be happier.

I have been a patient of Dr. Single for about a and all I can say is I have never been treaTed so poorly in my life. Because I am on a charity program he refused to treat me with any medications only injections, which have failed. He has actually left me sitting in his office more than once bawling my eyes out in pain. I will never recommend him.
