Great experience
Dr. Skinner removed basal cell carcinomas from both of my ears at 2 separate appointments. Each ear had to have a skin graft to cover the wound. I have no complaints. My ears look great and you'd never know I had surgery on them. The waiting room experience is not pleasant--but Mohs surgery requires a wait to see if all of the cancer was removed. Dr. Skinner seems to be very skilled in this surgery.

I was with Dr Skinner for several years. Over the past 2 years I have been very disappointed. He closed a wound on my face that is now disfigured with a big lump still remaining. Also with that surgery and a couple big ones on my scalp he never offered anything for pain and I suffered through them. My wife had a nose mohs surgery recently and we were referred to Dr Rasiv Kwatra in Phoenix. I went with her for the surgery and was absolutely blown away by how great Dr Kwatra was. Took his time to explain everything to her and give her some other options other that surgery but recommended surgery. The experience was so above what I had experienced with Dr Skinner I will be going to Dr Kwatra in the future. Just my experience, but I have had a lot of mohs surgery.

From the time you make an appointment, walk in the office, go into the exam room, and see Dr. Skinner, the experience is very professional and first rate. The office staff and nursing staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to help in whatever way is necessary and all work together exceptionally well. Dr. Skinner has a very calming and reassuring way about him that helps in a stressful situation like surgery. I have had to use the services of Dr. Skinner twice in the last two years and will go to him in the future if necessary and I HIGHLY recommend him and his staff should you need a skin cancer specialist.

Outrageous and unprofessional. We were told that the appointment could last up to six hours so we were prepared for a long wait but not the outrageous behavior that followed. We had a nine am appointment. My dad was cleared of cancer by ten thirty. Four hours later we hadn't heard from anyone and I was beginning to think that they had forgotten about us. I asked the secretary if she had any idea what was happening and she stated that " It takes as long as it takes." How is that helpful? I needed to pick my daughter up from school and I needed to know if I had to make other arrangements. I wasn't trying to bother her by any means. Although we had been there since nine am we watched a procession of people come and go for eight and a half hours with not a word on what was happening. At five they closed the office and went home leaving us alone there in the dark. At five thirty when they finally called him back he didn't even see the plastic surgeon they claimed was going to close him up.

Very knowledgeable and friendly doctor and staff. I received prompt attention together with professional, friendly and thorough care. I am completely satisfied and have already recommended Dr Skinner to my own elderly mother for what appears to be a very similar skin concern to mine. Recommending my own mother says a lot.

I had a Mohs surgery for a basal cell carcinoma on my face 3 weeks ago, and I am extremely satisfied. The procedure and follow-up care were thoroughly explained. My incision was as expected, and it is already markedly improved in appearance. I highly recommend Dr. Skinner and his staff to anyone requiring dermatologic surgery!

Dr Skinner did a skin cancer procedure on my head and he and his staff were excellent, procedure was successful and he followed up with a personal phone call to be sure. One of the most impressive things to me is that the appointments were on schedule each time. I would highly recommend him. Gene S.
