Helped me with multiple, complex pain issues. .
Dr Smith has helped me tremendously with severe degenerative disc treatments, SI joint injections and bilateral fusion, skeletal muscle pain, arthritic pain. I like the fact that he is direct, get’s straight to the point. He doesn’t waste my time, I try not to waste his time. I respect him and value his unique talents, intellect and straightforward manner. He’s polite and often get’s down to business quickly. I see so many doctors, that I greatly appreciate the quickness of my routine appointments. (15 minutes or less)Keep in mind it takes time to build trust and effective communication - especially when appointments are kept as brief as practical. It was probably six months before I actually knew that Dr Smith was the right fit for my pain management needs. I was relieved that isn’t intimidated by my complex medical history with multiple rare diagnosis. He simply focussed on what he does best: Providing pain relief options while keeping his patients safe from potential pitfalls.

It’s my job to make sure my other doctors are kept in the loop, then make my pain management decisions based on input from all of them. Dr Smith’s is the navigator, his patients are in the driver’s seat. He answers any odd questions I ask, addresses any concerns I have. He isn’t offended when I question a specific approach or if I decline part or all of his offered treatments. He also keeps an open mind when I have suggestions. Dr Smith has a passion for practicing pain management and it shows. He stays abreast of recent studies, new treatments, changes in practices, etc… He lets’s me know when there is a new development that relates to one of my conditions. I have recommended him to my close friends and family.

Dr. Smith presented a preset explicit, implicit, bias treating me far differently than those pleased with his care. He exhibited a sense of entitlement to reinvent my medical history, past treatments, remove prior reports and allegies to certain meds, and more. I am a 73 yr. old disabled, recent widow, in a new area, 30 yrs professional in human service. I am known for being, respectful, understanding, patient, kind, thoughtful and remain baffled why I was treated opposite of others rating him highly. I waited ten months after he said he would start with epidural injections. I asked twice, once with witness to proceed. At ten months, 3 weeks, l2 encounters /co pays each month, Dr Smith informed me instead of injections I needed 2 sets of nerve blocks; a further 9 month process; 14 months with my shoulder replacement surgery already scheduled factored in. I went elsewhere receiving the 2 sets of nerve blocks in 22 days! I deeply regret not obtaining my med records at the start!

Dr. Daniel Smith has been wonderful to work with. He does great job with his technique that is different from other Anesthesiologists I've been very greatful. He's also been willing to try various medicine changes that I ask for that are reasonable for my conditions. This year he has had staff issues, but he's kept me apprised to every complaint of his staff. As doctor and patient relationship, it has been very good. He works well with my other doctors & I'm very thankful to that.

Well his bedside manner is pathetic. If you are in pain he's likely to laugh at you for being in such pain. His office is totally disorganized and your lucky if they ever call you back to schedule a procedure. if you want to wait months and months for anything to get done then he is your doctor.

My husband WAS a patient of Dr. Smith and Dr. Dector but no longer. This clinic and doctors lack of communication, failure to answer emergency calls, failure to show for appointments when we were told he would be there. Failure to answer ER calls of emergency. Failure of everything left my husband 3 times ambulance transported, 5 1/2 hour wait in ER to be looked at emergency spinal surgery. 5 day's in ICU 6 weeks of picc anti's 4 months of doing nothing!

Dr. Smith has always been nothing but wonderful to me. I have very complex medical problems and he's always ready to face them it head on! I've never had a physican who took the time to make sure my questions were answered and I was comfortable with the decisions being made. The office is busy but always worth the wait.

I admit I have frustration over how obsurdly busy pinnacle pain center is. However that isn't Dr. Smith's fault. I read all of the reviews on pinnacle pain center prior to seeing him. They were almost 99% absolutely awful. I was nervous but only pain center that Humana covered. So I went and Dr. Smith was so kind and compassionate that I will gladly deal with all of the hell of going to the office and getting in etc because of that compassion and kindness. Most amazing doc EVER to me!!

I was suddenly faced with severe, debilitating back and leg pain and could barely walk. I saw Dr Smith who recommended an epidural. Two fulls days after the epidural I can walk again and am nearly back to baseline. Prior to meeting with Dr Smith and his business partners I worried that medications and the ER were my only options. I highly recommend Dr Smith and his highly trained staff to any friends or family!!

Despite the fact they are going through growing pains at Pinnacle, Dr. Smith is the most compassionate physician I have come across. I can't believe that someone would give a poor rating to him personally; with his help I have been able to play with my grandchildren and enjoy gardening, even after having been written off by other physicians.

Too many visits to come to no conclusion. Too many satellite offices without services. No way to contact him - office staff absolutely refused to allow a message. He thought he had a close professional relationship with a local neurosurgeon which turned out not to be the case (not his fault but he believed I would get a quick response and a recommendation - I received neither except a warning to stay away from there by the neurosurgeon's PA.)
