Dr. Danuel Laan, MD

I understand that an evaluation for bariatric surgery involves a physical examination, but Dr. Laan touched me way too much and without warning. He wiped his nose with his hand several times and didn’t once wash his hands. I’m not a germaphobe, but this encounter was just gross. He was too friendly (in a creepy way) and so informal in his explanations that I had to repeatedly ask him to be specific, and he wasn’t able to provide all the information I needed. Dr. Laan struck me as under-educated and poorly articulated—one who coasts on patronizing, insincere small talk and glosses over details (and hygiene). I couldn’t leave his office fast enough.

I HIGHLY recommend! Best decision I have made in a long time! Dr. Laan and his staff are truly a blessing! I had fought having bariatric surgery for years and decided that it was now time. Dr. Laan honestly wants the best for his patients! He listens to all my concerns (pre- and post-op). He is caring and compassionate always. He explains everything and answers all my questions (and I do have a LOT of questions!). No complications and no regrets. Wish I had done it sooner!

Dr. Laan is one of the best doctors for bariatric surgery. He is compassionate and caring. He listens and is informative in his details. You will not go wrong in choosing him to be your bariatric surgeon. HIs team is very nice and helpful with any questions. HIs nurse's and dietician are helpful and have taught me the skills I need in order to make my life easier and learn a new way of keeping up the work I have achieved under Doctor Laan's care.

Dr. Laan is the best!!! He is a very caring and compassionate doctor. I had hernia repair with gastric bypass 5 months ago. He saved my life! No complications and no regrets. Highly recommend if you want amazing results!

My colon ruptured and was told I needed emergency surgery .Dr LAAN was the on call surgeon who literally saved my life. Can’t express the feeling to have such a caring and knowledgeable Dr. Dr Laan explained the procedures in detail and allowed me to ask questions And patiently answered them all. He told me he would be there every step of the way. It required me having an illeostmy bag for several months. I am delighted to tell you I just had my reversal procedure completed and I am healing well.
