Will be seeking another cardiologist
Dr. Pham ordered a cardiac monitor for me to wear for 2 weeks. The lab posted the results: a lengthy technical report written in medical-ese, showing that the monitor had recorded many instances of irregular heart rhythm. About 6 days after getting these results, I hadn’t heard anything from Dr.Pham’s office, so I initiated follow-up and asked to discuss the results. He called back and answered questions. I then did some reading about my condition at the Mayo Clinic website, and emailed Dr. Pham with two more questions about the cause of my condition and its treatment. Got no reply for 9 days, so I emailed him again. He sent me a testy response. He apparently took offense to my asking him a question based on the Mayo Clinic article (“the Internet”). His reply also didn’t address my basic concerns. I would like to find cardiac care that is more proactive in following up, and more informative and patient in providing guidance.

His accent made communicating awkward. I left feeling uneasy about the appointment mainly because he came across as unorganized, and unprepared for my appointment. I didn't feel like he was a good fit for my needs but I would not return to him again just based on the fact we couldn't communicate well. Nice dr. Just not one I could reccomend to a friend or family member.
