Dr. Darrell Meeks, DMD

I have moved around the country most of my life. I have seen many Dentists and Oral Surgeons over a 45 year span. I will have to say this practice is one of the best, and my choice for extraction and implant procedures. The office is conveniently located in Chesapeake on Greenbrier Pkwy. The office is clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. My scheduled appointments start within 5 minutes of my arrival and check in. Dr. Meeks is pleasant and explains things to me when I ask. When I have had to call the office after hours or on weekend, I leave a message and my call is promptly returned when office reopens. If you have a very urgent or emergency situation, there is an emergency number provided to call after hours or weekends. I will return to see Dr. Meeks when needed as he is very professional . And I recommend this practice to others.

This place is balancing billing me and also charging me for things my insurance denied to their responsibility. I have called numerous times with no return call. Horrible place of business, I had to listen to this so called doctor talk about breeding horses and about the male horses parts. He was absolutely horrible.

Last week , I had an emergency where the two upper left molars were basically destroyed due to TMJ /Grinding issues. I called the dentist that I had just switched to based on recommendations. Dr. Meeks was willing to wait for me to travel from Suffolk, to his office on Independence Blvd, and extract two teeth, that was further complicated by the fact that I take blood thinners. Dr. Meeks insisted that I stay over 1/2 of an hour so he could observe me for bleeding risks, he stayed in the room and made conversation while periodically checking my gums. The antibiotics and pain meds were called in before I left and were ready when I made it to my Pharmacy. Dr. Meeks went above and beyond what you commonly see these days, and I not only would recommend him and his staff, but plan on returning to him to have my implants done. All I can say is Thank you Dr. Meeks for your care and patience.

Great experience! Quick and painless implant procedure. Very friendly and professional. Both my wife and I have had implant procedures with Dr Meeks.

The dental hygienists were so kind and helpful but Dr. Meeks was jerk. Impatient and kind of a bully.
