Dr. David Barcel, MD

Dr Barcel is one of the most caring and compassionate doctors I have ever had. He helped me with foot problems from a failed surgery from another doctor after the other doctor gave up on me.

Dr. Barcel and his team give outstanding treatment to their patients. He is very caring and explains procedures in detail. He also is very honest about the success rate of surgical and other procedures.

Dr. Barcel is great I highly recommend him. He is very friendly and really caring he takes time to explain everything to you ... him and his staff are the best at what they do..

Dr Barcel is the Best. He is a caring doctor and he does a great job. He took care of my husband's foot as he lost all toes on his right foot. He was upset that he had not got all of the informationon Steve before he went on vacation for Memorial Day weekend. He did Steve's surgery that Tuesday and he said he was confident that he had gotten all of the infection. I just said Praise the Lord. Dr. Barcel, is an awesome doctor. Very thorough and follows up once he has determined your issue. I would definitely recommend him. He listens to your concerns and explains things to where you can understand them.

Dr Barcel has a great bedside manner. He explained things well.

This so-called specialist is nothing more than a narcissist who has a God complex, and he doesn't listen to his patients even after he ask them a question. He seems to forget what he is there for and will focus on stuff that has nothing to do with your alignment. He talks down to his patients and makes fun of them also. It takes over 6 months to receive a follow-up and when you do you have to wait in the waiting room for about an hour before you are brought back to the room and then wait another 15-20 minutes for him to come in and rush out. The staff is very condescending and of no real help. This so-called Dr is only concerned with helping out the insurance carrier and not the patients. His actions speak, and words speak volumes to that. When you tell him that you hurt, he says something along the line like, 'That doesn't make sense you should be better by now. It is only a little strain'. He just dismiss that you feel pain and if you are not crying he says your lying about the pain

Dr. Barcel has treated both myself and my wife. He is so thorough, explains things carefully, and instills confidence in the patient. If I had to pick one word to associate with him, it would be...integrity.

I had my first visit with Dr. Barcel he was amazing. He actually listened to what I had to say so I would highly recommend him and he’s patient. He doesn’t rush you and he honestly cares.

I had an ankle replacement & Achilles tendon lengthening on 10/13/23. He explained the procedure in full detail to me and my husband. Took the time and answered all of our questions. Surgery went well, my post op visits have been good. He is overly cautious about any infections and kept me on antibiotics. He was very open about keeping in touch with him if I had any questions or problems. I would highly recommend Dr Barcel for any ankle/foot problems. You may encounter longer waits at your appointments however he takes the time with his patients and you are never felt rushed or pushed aside. His staff is very nice and also helpful as well as his PA Brittney. Coming from upstate New York where you were always rushed and little communication, this is a nice change!

Dr Barcel showed concern about my foot . He explained in details what was the root cause of my injury and why it had taken so long to heal. Very patient and not in a rush. Friendly and pleasant to talk to about my concerns.I wish I could have saw him in the beginning of my injury and maybe it would’ve taken so long to get resolved sooner. I 100 percent recommend Dr.Barcel . It was a pleasure meeting him .We sure need more Dr.s like him .

Doctor Barcel inherited me when the wonderful Dr. Funderburk passed away and I broke my hip. I was sooo lucky that he just happened to be the one on call. He and his PA Brittany Nielsen are the best team ever. They are always polite, respectful, and caring. They are always there to address any concern I may have. Dr. Barcel not only fixed my hip, he also fixed one of my big toes. He actually is my sister's foot Dr as well and we can't say how much we love and appreciate his professionalism and the amount of compassion he has for his patients!!

Dr. Barcel was very attentive and explained things on my level. He let me know the next steps and what will hopefully be the outcome.

Dr Barcel took.the time he was so kind and sweet .he fixed my ankle. He e is a wonderful Dr I highly recommend ho the staff is awsome. Love his NP Britney she is awesome.

Dr. Barcel was great on the first visit, but I was not aware I would never see him again, and that I would have to spend all my time trying to get information to doctors Barcel has referred me to. Despite having complications arise due to unexpected MRI results, I have only been given very rushed follow-up visits with a PA. In addition, I have needed several referrals for further scanning and to oncology for biopsy, and have had to repeatedly contact their office by email and in person to try to facilitate the submission of forms/records/imagining. Sometimes the problem has been waiting on the Dr. to fill out his portion, sometimes they have just repeatedly dropped the ball on sending records and imaging. In addition, they do not post test results; you must wait until your next appointment to get results, which may be a month or more away. This is just inconsiderate to the patient, who needs to be aware of any concerning results right away, as the results may impact other treatments.

Dr. Barcel reviewed a problem with my ankle that I have had for several years. He immediately recognized my medical condition, reviewed my radiographs with me, iterated choices of treatment and went so far as diagramming the particulars of the issues and options for treatment. I am very confident in his abilities to diagnose and render appropriate avenues of care. As a former healthcare provider, I enjoyed having shared my time with a Practitioner who demonstrated exactly the same manner and methods of care that I followed with my own patients. He is a terrific communicator and extremely thorough in his presentation and execution of his choices of treatment modalities. I am very confident that he will be able to successfully aid in treating me.

Waited almost 3 months for an appt. Had my 1st one yesterday at 1045am. X-rays were done for one condition, but tech said other condition wasn't addressed so she couldn't do the other set of x-rays & that I'd need to come back. One hour went by, cane out of the room to ask where the doctor was, was told he was running behind. Another 45 minutes went by, I came out again to see what was going on, was told he'd "get to me shortly...there were 2 other patients also complaining about the long wait. Heard all the girls laughing & talking outside my room, yet not one of them could poke their head in the exam rooms to apologize for the wait & give an update?! Another 10 minutes later, their billing clerk comes in, saying the doctor "had to leave on an emergency" and that the PA would be in to see me "shortly". I needed to get a diagnosis & schedule surgery, neither of which a PA can do. Charge me for a specialist visit so a PA can take notes and then have to come back in AGAIN to see

My first visit with Dr Barcel and his assistant went well. He seems to care that I receive the best outcome for my situation and has ordered test to help in determining that. I have complicated injuries from a head on car accident that happened years ago and am hoping to find some pain relief that would not involve any surgeries or medications that would exacerbate my already existing challenges. Dr Barcel has excellent reviews, so I am hopeful :)
