Really bad experience
Dr. Bettis has really bad bedside manner and difficulty explaining relatively basic and simple concepts of neurology. One of the worst medical professionals I’ve encountered so far.

Wish I could leave zero stars! Came into my sons room and told him he was mad that he had to be working on a Saturday and told him it was his fault he hadn’t had a seizure in the EMU unit in valley children’s hospital! Total garbage doctor and wouldn’t have spoke to my wife and son the way he did if I was in the room. I was unable to be there because of COVID policies but if I were you I would not trust the care of my child to this ego maniacal jerk. Big man can treat a woman and epileptic child like trash because you had to come in for a few minutes on a Saturday.

This was 15 years ago, but he was so helpful. We had no idea what was happening with our daughter, she suddenly started having seizures and we were frightened. He was very professional and took the time to talk with us about her diagnoses. We can't thank him enough. Luckily for her it was an epilepsy that children outgrow by their teen years.
