I went to Dr. Chen looking for an alternative for my Prostate Cancer I was diagnosed with by another Doctor. This other Doctor just wanted remove it without answering any of my questions or concerns. Dr. Chen listened to me, took a lot of time to examine my situation and he came up with a much better option that has saved the quality of my life. From day 1 I felt extremely comfortable with him and it only got better and better with him thru my procedure and treatment. He is a consummate Professional in every way possible. I would give him a 100 star review if I could. Highly recommended by me.

Dr. David Chen and his staff did a wonderful job performing the Laparoscopy, Robotic assisted, removal of my prostate gland. Dr. Chen monitored my condition prior to the surgery and then diagnosed my need to have it removed or treated. He explained my level of prostate cancer and my wife and I decided on the surgery to remove it. Dr. Chen and all the staff of doctors, nurses and assistants were terrific! They treated me so well at all stages of the process from the start to now. They treated me kindly and explained everything. I stayed one night after the surgery at Fox Chase Hospital and was discharged the next day. My surgery went well. I had a catheter for 8 days and was relieved to have it removed. They followed up with me and always answer any questions I have. I am recovering well now and am so grateful to Dr. Chen and all the folks at Fox Chase! My nursing care was wonderful at the hospital and we are so thankful to Dr. Chen, his staff and all the nurses for everything.

I was diagnosed with GG1 prostate cancer by another urologist. I was looking for a 2nd opinion and Dr. Chen was highly recommended to me by a doctor at another hospital. First, I was impressed with his publications and his credentials. Then, when I met him, I was impressed by his friendly manner, knowledge and clear recommendation for a treatment plan. We decided on active surveillance as "treatment". I was already leaning toward this option and Dr. Chen helped me feel comfortable with this decision. I've decided to stick with Dr. Chen as my urologist from now on.

Dr. Chen is truly an angel. He has been extremely caring and considerate during this hard time going through cancer. His bedside manners are so professional. He deserves a standing ovation for listening and thoroughly answering all of our concerns/questions. He is an excellent surgeon. I had a very short recovery time. He is really a blessing to Fox Chase Cancer.

I can say many great things about Dr Chen . He listens and plan a procedure that helped me greatly with my prostate cancer I feel special having him as my Oncologist he had an approach tailor for me.

My husband was diagnosed renal cell carcinoma in June. We visited several urologists in our areas to scheduled appointments. The surgery was scheduled as far as in November. When we called Dr. Chen's office, his assistant contacted him and scheduled an visit as soon as possible. He did a Robotic assisted partial nephrectomy on him 3 weeks a ago. He saved my husband's half kidney. The surgery went so well that my husband was out of hospital 2nd day without any incidence. Dr. Chen is a highly skilled urologist and does excellent surgeries and procedures. We are so grateful for his care. We can't say enough good things about him and his team, including medical secretaries, nurses and PA. They are efficient, compassionate and caring their patients. We would like to say many thanks to Dr. Chen and his team!!!

Dr Chen reviewed my history, suggested I continue my life style changes and viewed my progress did not need further treatment at this time. A very good visit.

Dr. Chen may me feel very comfortable discussing some tough/embarassing topics. I appreciated his professionalism and empathy.

How unusual today to find a provider that is both highly skilled and has good bedside manners. Everything about my experience at Fox Chase went without a hitch, from getting an appointment, the intake procedure, the office visit, the surgery, and the follow-up. My experience just getting an appointment at the University hospital downtown was abysmal. After speaking with Dr Chen, I was convinced that he understood my needs and proposed a course of treatment that differed from my first doctor. I couldn't be any happier with a Surgeon or his practice.

We went to Dr. Chen for a 2nd opinion. I am so thankful we did. Dr. Chen and his staff were professional, gracious, and helpful. When I expressed my being a virtual person Dr. Chen graciously walked me through my husband's cat scan answering each of my questions. He was so patient and thoughtful. We are very grateful to have found Dr. Chen. We have decided that Dr. Chen will be overseeing my husband's medical journey beginning in the fall. Dr. Chen and the staff are definitely a 5/5 in our opinion.

Dr Chen is my husband's doctor and has gone over and beyond to make my husband's frightening experience into a more positive and reassuring outcome. 9 years post-surgery.

Dr. Chen is an excellent urologist and has significant concern for and interest in his patients. He freely answers any questions the patient has and explains everything thoroughly.

As always Dr. Chen was very professional and courteous. He was available on time, asked if I had any health concerns and expertly performed the cystology procedure. He reviewed my health options of whether to continue my annual screening or not. He reassured me that my decision to be vigilant and to continue to annually monitor the health of my bladder was perfectly reasonable to made sure that both myself and my wife were both comfortable with making sure that there was no reoccurrence of the bladder cancer and if so that we would be able to deal with only a very early form of the cancer. In summary, I continue to have great faith in my continued treatment from Dr. Chen and have referred other family members with urology associated cancer to use D. Chen as their primary cancer doctor.

My family doctor found a prostate enlargement and a high PSA. Due to a significant family history with prostate cancer I decided to look for a Urologist in the Philadelphia area despite a 2-hour one-way commute. After researching on-line, I found Dr. Chen and requested an appointment. Dr. Chen's staff were very gracious with their time and explanations of next steps. It was determined that an MRI would be the best follow-up. The MRI results indicated the need for a biopsy. Dr. Chen the day of surgery provided a very detailed explanation of possible next steps depending on the biopsy results. He indicated a week to get the results. My surgery was on a Wed. and that Friday at 9:30pm I received a call from Dr. Chen confirming no cancer present. He called late on a Friday to give the good news so that I could enjoy my weekend! Dr. Chen professionally and personally is a special doctor and individual. I would highly recommend he and his staff for urological care.

Having to find a new urology doctor after my doctor retired it was easy to pick Dr. Chen as my new doctor. During our initial consultation he took all the time needed to explain the continuation of my health care and how it would work for me. I am more than pleased and without hesitation would recommend Dr. Chen. Dr. Chen and FCCC are the best!

Having to address the issue of a high PSA count (22) with the overwhelming likelihood of prostate cancer was difficult to face and filled with fears of the likely diagnosis and difficult treatment to follow. Dr.Chen immediately put me to rest a bit with his genuine caring attitude, letting me know that the PSA count itself wasn't necessarily definitive and that there were less invasive treatment alternatives than surgery that might be more appropriate for someone in my age bracket (80). We followed it for a couple of years until the PSA count advanced along with problems with urinary issues. Dr. Chen immediately advanced his game plan and advised a couple of medications that, #1 helped with the frequent urination issue and #2 completely resolved the urinary issues and dropped the PSA count dramatically, reducing the the probable cancerous activity in the prostate. I'm on track for followup with Dr. Chen to keep on top of things and feel 'blessed' to have him as my go-to adviser!

Just had my annual follow-up visit with Dr Chen. His concern for patient wellbeing and generosity with time is very much appreciated. By extension, the same can be said for the others working with him in his practice. Thank you

We found Dr Chen online and his reviews were instrumental in selecting him. Flew to Philly in February for prostate removal. He and his staff were fantastic at each step of the process especially using Telehealth, telephone, and email both before and after my surgery. He explained every facet of the process to make sure my family and I were comfortable and informed at all times. His bedside manner and professional bearing were crucial to the surgery and recovery experience and he earned and maintained our trust and confidence. He even called us to explain the pathological results so we did not have to wait until the follow-up. I am both extremely pleased and relieved that I am in his care. The entire Dr. Chen team including the hospital staff were exemplary at every juncture and I would give 10 stars if I could. This was one of the most difficult times of my life and I am grateful for his care. Now in recovery, I am feeling fine and well on my way! Look no further!
