Pre surgery visit, surgery and post OP. No explanations given, appointment was rushed, no personal service, no listening to my concerns. He did however wrote that he explained to me lot of things that never even came up iduring the appointment.

Dr. Chessin performed a very complicated surgery on me, and he did an incredibly perfect surgery. He is very accessible to reach, and just so skilled in his field. I recommend him highly. It was a Herculean task to get me well, and every aspect of the surgery and follow up was stellar.

Dr Chessin diagnosed and subsequently removed most(all?) of my diseased sigmoid colon. From the initial diagnosis to the procedure was less than 3 weeks, during Covid. The procedure was clearly explained and was done as expected without any problem. I was walking the next day and discharged 3 days later. It will be one year on September 5, 2021. After the typical post operative healing process, I have never felt better. Other than a bit of paperwork confusion from he hospital, the entire process was better than expected. I highly recommend Dr. Chessin and his office staff for your intestinal issues.

I can not say anything about Dr. Chessin, I saw him once, but the office staff messed up my work schedule. They handled appointments and schedules very unprofessionaly.

Wonderful doctor. Always makes himself available. Even called me back within minutes on the Sunday before my procedure and consistently in the days following. Takes the time to answer all questions. It has been less than a month and surgical scar barely noticeable and fading.

Did a terrible job. When I expressed my concerns after surgery, he literally turned his back on me. Still dealing with the problems years later.

Dr Chessin was my second opinion but I knew he was my guy after walking out of the office. He was straight-forward on what needed to be done and my chances of success. His words calmed me and assured me that I would be able to overcome. His bedside manner was incredible as well... I was always able to reach him or his associate even in the middle of the night on a Saturday. Can't thank him and his offices enough. Almost done with his services (one or two appts left) and I have a new life.

My mother had Colon Rectal Surgery performed by Dr. Chessin in June 2017. I was very scared because of my mother's age but Dr. Chessin was a godsend. The surgery was 100% successful. Everything went smoothly. He is an excellent doctor who is very professional and clear. He was always easy to reach by telephone and always patient to any questions. His office staff is very knowledgeable and efficient. I can't thank Dr. Chessin enough for everything he has done for my mother.

I cannot say enough about how fabulous Dr. Chessin is. He is always available to answer all my silly questions. Great bedside manner. Patient and caring. After my surgery I called him and asked to have my hospital room changed and with in hours it was changed. Left me with very little scaring from my incisions. Never rushed me to see next patient. Even called me on his vacation.

Dr. Chessin is an incredible surgeon. I was recommended to see him from another surgeon from Ct. I live in Ct. and specifically came in to NY to have Dr. Chessin preform my surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He is not only a great Dr. / Surgeon, he is also a compassionate and caring human being. He is confident , has great bedside manners, always available when you call and answers all of my questions. Never rude or rushed. I highly recommend Dr. Chessin, and Dr. Gorfine !
