Dr. David Chung, MD

I'm honestly unsure where the claims of Dr. Cbungs carelessness come from. He is my first psychiatrist and i was very leery about going to one in the first place but he has been fantastic, i became disabled following my first few months of seeing him and the understanding from him and his willingness to work with me and to go the extra mile to understand my health situation made the process very simple, and incredibly helpful. Not to mention the ease of scheduling, rescheduling, and even his level of interest and care in my life in general. I would absolutely recommend him

I have worked with several psychiatric professionals in my life, and Dr. Chung has been one of the best. He is very responsive and makes me feel heard, seen, and cared for. I actively enjoy my visits with him.

Dr. David Chung had prescribed a prescription to my wife that caused her health to go out of wrack that needed so much care by other doctors and me. In my opinion, he should NOT be practicing Psychiatry at all if he is so UNCARING for my wife, period. Also, he should be fired from his position as a psychiatrist at MedStar Montgomery General and elsewhere, and his MD license to practice pulled!!

I've been dealing with depression and doctors since age 12. Dr. Chung has been the WORST. He refused to help me wean off of benzos and refused to support my decision to try ketamine infusions. He wanted me to do ECT and take MAOIs with dietary restrictions. He was rude to myself and my family. I wouldn't send my dog to him.

Dr Chung is very High strung and his level of comprehension, is awful. He did not get my first name right the whole 2 years i spent with him. He continually tried to force me to take medications that he knew , from me telling him and showing him my medical records..that i would NOT be able to take without the severe reactions that came along with the medications he suggested. My anxiety levels and BP were through the roof upon exiting his office every single time. not recommended!
