Had to wait an hour and 15 minutes past appointment time to see doctor. Staff was courteous and doctor was apologetic. Doctor Cordell was attentive and took time to listen. Appeared competent and professional. Well pleased with visit, except for unacceptable wait time.

The wait time beyond the scheduled appointment time is excessive.

During recovery i made several calls regarding pain and complications. I spoke with Adrienne and at my follow up appointment Adrienne told me I didn't tell her any of this. I had a witness to the phone call which was on speaker. She called me a liar and didn't want me to call my witness to verify I called several times with complications. One of my new doctors says they have heard the statement or saying no candor Cordell. Cordell says she did get the calls but didn't tell anyone. They refuse to tell me her last name.UPDATE CORRECTION: 12 24 2024 Surgeon at Texas Bone and Joint said I had a 3 level fusion and it was C2 that was not fixed and another surgery is required. HE will have to remove the plate. Also since my doctors have not corrected the skin lesions all over my body he said he would not operate until it was cleared up due to risk of post surgery infection. I brought this up with Dr. Cordel and he was not concerned about the skin lesions and open wounds.

Went to spine doctor in San Antonio and had first operation. When that didn?t work I went to a spine doc in Houston and had a fusion. This was followed by a foot drop and a pseudomeningocele. Still had problems so went back to San Antonio and had two more procedures, again with no relief. Finally went to Dr. Cordell who preformed my 5th surgery (in 3 years) and had complete relief. He is an excellent surgeon and does not operate until all conservative treatments have been exhausted. I truly wish I had gone to him in the first place.

Absolutely arrogant and disrespectful man who does not know how to communicate with other healthcare professional. His attitude was incredibly demeaning and he needs to work on his communication skills. I was unable to get a word in. I only gave him 1 star because it wouldn’t let me give zero.

Dr. Cordell changed my life, after years of back pain and visits to all kinds of doctors, Therapist’, Chiropractors and Pain management, I found Dr. Cordell and as usual, I was very hesitant and scared to get spine surgery, finally I just couldn’t go on living like that and agreed to Dr. Cordell’s recommendation to allow him to fix me up, that was the absolute best decision that I’ve ever made in my entire life, I should have listen to him from the beginning and I would have saved myself from going through all that pain and agony, I can’t say enough about how Dr. Cordell improved my way of life, I’m back to doing doing the things I love and most importantly I’m doing it totally pain free, I highly recommend Dr. Cordell if your having any type of spinal issues, he’s the best.

I was having back pain And sciatica pain, sciatica overpowering back pain to where I was unable to drive myself, my grandson drove me there, I'm a first time patient with Dr Cordell (I've heard good things about Him) On my first visit there they took two extra x-rays plus the recent ones I had at Radiology, he listened very carefully and prescribed two meds, he explained everything carefully, today being the second day I'm so much better Thanks to Dr Cordell for his professionalism and caring Dr. Only thing I regret is not seeing him sooner. I'm also a retired Nurse.

Somehow my information was given out, as I’m getting calls that Dr Cordell ordered a brace fir my back. He did not!! They said that he did and that Medicare would pay for it a total scam. Somehow their records have been compromised. Beware!!!

I had an 1130 appointment with Dr. Cordell. I arrived way too early as I was told one time when it was a different time which is fine I might have miss heard the lady making the appointment. However, 30+ minutes after my 1130 appointment time I still had not even been called to the back. When I asked the lady at the counter she said the dr was behind I still had someone ahead of me that hadn't been even called back yet. After deciding I wanted to speak to the office manager I went back in about 10 minutes later. They supposedly called me 5 minutes after I left which is a joke since they couldn't see the other guy they hadn't' even called back yet that fast so I know they are lying. While in the office I checked the sign-in sheet, and they had double booked all of the on the :30 slots all morning with additional appointments at the :45 mark on most of them. That straight says they are not somewhere you want to go to especially in my case when it has to deal with the spine.

Dr. Cordell, performed my lower back surgery, on short notice Christmas 2018. Everything went well, and I was quite comfortable in his care. South Texas Surgical Hospital, was awesome. I highly recommend Dr. Cordell, and his team at Orthopedic Center, in Corpus

I would highly recommend Dr. Cordell to everyone who needs to be treated for Cervical or Lumbar issues . He went over everything with me and answered all my questions (very detailed ), was very friendly, listened to all I had to say. And the environment very clean, comfortable , the staff was very helpful, friendly as well. Dr. Cordell especially explained what to expect , how to deal with my situation I was being seen for. Overall very satisfied, definitely one of the best orthopedic Doctor.

I had the pleasure of seeing this amazing and caring physician for a mid to lower back problem. He took such good care of my problem and really listened to the issues I was having. He took time with me in a very caring manner and I would definitely recommend him to anyone having back problems. There aren't many physicians out there who actually take the time to listen and just disregard the pain one is going through, but not Dr. Cordell or his staff.

Great Doctor! Listens to problem presented. Very thorough and detailed explanation of condition. I would definitely recommend him to others.
