Terrible patient care and wrong diagnosis
First, let me say the ladies that work in the office are friendly and helpful. However, the rest is very lacking. The doctor's office is terrible about scheduling appointments and returning requests. It always took several calls to get on the appointment list. During the visits, the doctor rarely even spoke to me directly. As he examined me he talked using jargon to the nurse and didn't address me. After the exam I asked what the diagnosis was and he said, 'rod cone dystrophy'. That's it. I asked what the next steps were and he said, 'nothing you can do.' I wasn't happy so I applied and got in at Mayo. It was a completely different experience. The specialist asked how I got the diagnosis and then said, 'I'm not sure how they came up with that. It's totally wrong.' So I spent almost a year thinking I was going blind for no reason. If Dr. Dyer would have actually talked to me about what was going on, that could have been avoided.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Dyer?
In the waiting room I talked to many in with me. Some have been going to Dr. Dyer for over 20 years and all I heard from them was positive comments. Staff was very professional and great mannerism to the questions asked. The answers straight forward or passed on to Dr Dyer to answer. When Dr. Dyer was in my room he explained everything in plan speech and listened to what I had to say. With that I understand the process of what was being done to fix my detachment procedure. Thank you Dr. Dyer

He's been my doctor for over 20 years and I have always been very pleased with his work. He's very much in demand so sometimes time can be an issue but well worth it
