Dr. David Gehret, MD

All records including CD's and written reports were submitted for his review. They lost the CD's and after waiting to meet with the doctor he was very rude and said he can't help me. I also noticed he was very nasty with the personnel in his office. I would never recommend him to anyone.

I'm sorry Dr. Gehret is leaving UCI... He's the best!

Dr. Gehret was exceptional and thorough in assessing my symptoms and doing an EMG. I had that test elsewhere 2 years ago, but his process was far superior. He provided clear explanations and print materials. Outstanding doctor.

Dr. GEHRET is very knowledgeable, very professional, and very efficient. He is the first doctor provide us a folder for my husband's condition and what to do. The office is very nice.

It was frustrating that the doctor was unable to share the images that day with my surgeon connected withe the Hoag system. I was scheduled for surgery eark the next morning. Because the neurologist couldn't share the images electronically I beeded to go to UCI Orange from Newport Beach and bring the disc they made for me there to Hoag Huspital at 6:45am this morning for the surgeon to decide whether or not to proceed with the surgery.

The doctor was extremely thorough and answered all of my questions!

I don’t know how he did it, but he managed to have all his UCI rating transferred over to health grades. He was rated much lower just a year ago. I saw him in 2022 to address a diagnosis from Physical Medicine and my current PT. I had visible clinical signs recorded in my clinical notes. He gave false information about the diagnosis, and he was very angry. He yelled at his nurse shouting about another patient’s medication “NOT LIQUID GABAPENTIN!!!!!” It was so uncomfortable. I laughed at him, he stormed out of the office and ran down the hall through an adjacent door so he wouldn’t not pass me as I exited. UCI and Cedars Sinai neurologist went over my EMG….he missed a reading that was 45% slower on my affected side. I think the people he helps have straightforward cases, and unfortunately the bar is very low for neurologists. He’s not that knowledgeable and neurology is complex and good neuros keep up with new research and criteria. Would not recommend him for anything.

The doctor and staff were extremely professional. The doctor was very thorough, took lots of time with me, answered all my questions, and gave me a very detailed summary of his findings.

The bed side manner these days are appalling I felt like I was at the fast food line at Del Taco, if you think these PPO Premiums deserve such attitudes well that's definitely another conversation to have. A smile and being courteous goes a long way in any business I sure didn't receive that here at this visit. I hope UCI Health the Leader in the area per advertisements are doing random visits and reconciling these practices to assure proper care and handling is being provided. Thank you.
