Limited Knowledge
Dr Griger ignored my symptoms and was unable to help me 9 years ago saying I was out of shape. I explained that I was struggling to exercise like I had been. After 20 years of complaining about the same symptoms of exhaustion, pain, getting colds and not getting better, headaches, nausea, sweating, dizziness brain dysfunction…I was diagnosed with ME CFS. My condition worsened to moderately severe. I am disabled and on full disability. My husband could not believe that it was missed for so long. Foolishly I accepted an appointment for Rheumatology with him again. This time for a dysfunctional thumb with a bony mass. He told me it was osteoarthritis from overuse before he examined me for less than 5 minutes. He made no response to my concerns about hypermobility and Ehlers Danlos syndrome . He then said I had good mobility!! He did no bloodwork and told me it was negative for RA 8 years ago!!He added Fibromyalgia to my chart prior to my visit!Horrible experience

Amazing Doctor
Dr. Griger is an amazing Rheumatologist. I have been seeing him for two years now. He advocates for his patients and makes sure they are ok. He takes a lot of time with them making sure emotionally, mentally and physically they are doing well. I have referred him to other friends you have Rheumatoid Arthritis.

I was a patient of this doctor several years ago. I had been followed for high ANA and had chronic unresolved symptoms of possible Lyme disease. This doctor was so convinced I did not have Lyme that he would not even do a blood test. Since I had no insurance I could not get a proper diagnosis for a year, when 2 doctors diagnose my Lyme disease accurately. He also told me that since my ANA was stable over a period of time I no longer needed to be followed by a rheumatologist. Fortunately I did not listen. I was subsequently diagnosed with MCTD and after my ordeal with chronic Lyme, it progressed to full blown SLE. If you are female stay away from this doctor. These conditions have ruined my life. If my Lyme had been treated earlier, perhaps I would not have developed Lupus. I cannot think of any reason for a doctor to refuse to do a routine lab test to rule out or confirm a serious illness

He helped me get my sereopositive Rheumatoid Arthritis into remission. It took four failures and more than a year to find the right medication to get any relief for me, so this guy is patient and keeps on trying. He is direct and honest, which I value.
