Be Aware What You Are Getting Into
Proceed with cation. If you want quality care with a doctor that genuinely understands your concerns and tries to develop a treatment plan based on many factors and is multifaceted suggesting seeking therapy, developing healthy coping mechanisms, or involves anything other than simply obtaining medications which is this doc's specialty. He is banned from both Walmart's pharmacys in our county. That is not a good sign most times. This doc is old school and deals in med management exclusively. Most of which are controlled substances with little to no oversight. You get what you are looking for in this case, so keep that in mind. I would seek care elsewhere if you wish to get better. If you seek to get meds and have little to no hassle in doing so- he's your guy.

WORST DOCTOR EVER
He is so rude and nasty to women. He screams at female patients like they are his children. It’s bizarre. He also won’t let you speak. I have no idea how he legally can still practice. I’m driving to Murfreesboro for psychiatric help now because I refuse to go back to him. He will not help you. Run far away.

Very helpful
He’s above his peers as I heard him talk at what seemed like a genius level when speaking about the brain. He’s the most knowledgeable doctor I have ever seen.

Dr. Holmes is NOT the evil monster a few folks attempt to convey on here. He is one of the best psychiatrists I’ve ever had honestly - and I’ve seen quite a few in multiple states. As others have stated, his goal is simply manage your medications and ensure your doses are correct and make any necessary adjustments accordingly. I imagine many of you that are criticizing his methods clearly have never been to another psychiatrist before - especially in a different state. Of all the psych doctors I have seen - Dr. Holmes is truthfully the best in basically every way. The man does his job - Any psych I have been to is nearly identical in regard to the appointment itself. 99% of the time I experienced a significantly quick appointment, literally just how’re the meds? Any changes needed? -confirms all info is updated and accurate all the while staring at his computer screen as well - asked if I had any other questions or problems then we said our goodbyes and I was outta there for 90 days.

One of the absolute worst in his field. Appointments were done so quickly and you having a script. He rarely if ever looks up from the keyboard or monitor of his desktop computer. I had to cancel one appointment due to severe sickness and one more due to an emergency I had to fly out of town for. Called and tried to make an appointment and was told by the haughty receptionist that wasn't going to be possible. I then asked if they could at least give a refill on my meds. Refused as well

He will be reported to the board. We have never been disrespected the way he did. I don’t think he read our chart prior to us entering his office. My wife has a TBI that has affected her level of understanding and some things need to be re worded for a full understanding. He’s very obvious by way of tone and choice of words that he was not interested in effectively communicating with either of us. On the other hand he’s VERY obvious that if your appointment is more than 10 minutes he’s bothered.

Dr Holmes can be taken the wrong way to certain people but I have had nothing but positive experiences with him. Just as long as you go in open minded and understand he isn’t a therapist, he is to regulate your medications. He has changed my life for the positive and would recommend him to anyone that doesn’t go in expecting to sit with someone and discuss your daily problems with. He told me that on my first visit and I hold high respect for that physician

Dr. Holmes is a no nonsense psychiatrist. If you want to discuss your problems then get a psychologist. He was direct and to the point. Feeling 100% thanks to him,

I have seen this doctor several times. He will give whatever medication you would like, but he isn't willing to discuss side effects, withdrawals, or otherwise. Don't bother taking notes on specific issues you have; he doesn't want to hear about it. He just is all about "Do you want more or less?" Being that I am not a doctor, I have no idea if 'more or less' medication will fix the problem! That's his job to decide, isn't it? Last time, I decided I wouldn't be back; I left in tears.

He's helped me tremendously. After reading the negative reviews, they are understandable. You have to understand the fact he's a psychiatrist and not a psychologist. I was scared of him at first, but he is very intelligent and understood my issue within a snap of a finger. He is blunt and just wants to know if he's helping or not, so please just answer him as in yes or no and he will work with you. He is strict, but will keep you stable. Sometimes you have to get to know your Dr.

Wish we'd read these reviews before we saw Holmes. Calling him a Doctor insults all the rest. My husband went alone his first visit The second visit, I so wish I'd recorded the conversation. No one would believe Holmes behavior. I have a hard time believing it. When my husband, who is an educated, professional, said he didn't understand an explanation Mr. Holmes rolled his eyes and said he wasn't going to waste his time going over it again. My fear: someone will be hurt by this man may have alre

Dr. Holmes is horrible, He does not listen to what I had to say about my anxiety/depression, I told him I had recent death in the family and he said that information was not important to the questions he was asking, He seemed irritated when asking me questions, at one time he closed his eyes, clinched his fist and said answer YES OR NO, I believe Dr. Holmes needs to find someone to talk to about his own issues, I left that office crying feeling worse than when going in there. He is very rude.

I took my daughter there for depression. He is horrible. Don't go. Find another doctor. He shoves patients in and out of the his office in 15 minutes no matter if you are healthy or sick. He has no consideration for patients. In the entire year we went there all he does is prescribe medication, I never once had a sense that he had any concern for her. He was interested only in getting people in and out fast and flipping a buck.

He will not listen, takes 5 minutes with each client, abruptly interrupts you, makes you feel like he's a drill sergeant and your an animal. I went there with mid life issues. he counselor I tried told me I needed a mild anti depressant to find a psychiatrist. He interrupts you, super moody nd won't let you say nothing. Act's like a hostile teenage with ADHD. In a nutshell - He doesn't listen and he will not spend time with you. He is punctual and wants to see all he can in 5 mins.
