Worth the Wait!
My ma has been seeing Dr Kantor for many years - at least 30. It's true the wait in office goes well beyond the appt time, every time. Plan to be there several hours. Part of that wait is a testament to the strong connection he builds with his patients. He truly cares and does not rush. He is thorough, listens, and provides explanations that are easily understood and advice and guidance for treatment. He is committed fully to the health of his patients. He is the opposite of rushed younger docs that are just trying to complete appointments. He does whatever is needed to learn underlying causes of things and address them rather than just treating symptoms. If you miss the 'old school' approach and relationship people had with their doctors this is your guy! He is wonderful in every sense of the word!

I am able to discuss concerns and be heard. I feel that I receive a thorough exam with each visit and that I am able to participate in my care, so that I can accomplish my healthcare goals. I don’t feel rushed and if I have to wait for my appt. I know that I will receive the time I need for my appt. One thing I love is that he looks to treat the cause and not just the symptoms. He is a very caring person that I feel confident in my healthcare and would highly recommend!

Less than one star, had appointment at 11:15, was still waiting in the waiting room at 1:45, not acceptable, the Dr was referred to me by the hospital referral Line and a friend that is a urologist also. Though it would be good, Very Wrong! Got up and walked out. He is old enough he should retire. The woman behind the window said I would be next. I said see ya! She said that I should have been told he is alway behind. Do your self a favor and find anybody else for your care. LESS THAN ONE STAR!!

I have been going to Dr. Kantor for 27 years. I will admit, you will have a long wait time, but that is because he is very detail oriented with ALL of his patients. He will diagnose you, send you to a specialist, and will still be involved with what is going on. Nobody does anything to his patients without consulting with him first. He is VERY respected in his field. So if you do not mind waiting, this is the doctor for you. He also has staff that has been with him for a very long time.

We have seen Dr. Kantor three times. Our first wait time was 2 1/2 hours. Second appointment wait time was 3 hours. I ask the nurse if this was common. To my surprise she actually said Yes.
