Unprofessional and seek second opinion
Had a first visit with Dr.Kwiat about 2 months ago. Had a noon appointment and they were running behind (over 1 hour) finally was seen and he was unapologetic and frankly quite short. I brushed it off since I thought it may have been a long day for him. Anyway, I was there for a normal exam. My vision and eye health has always been good. He diagnosed me with cataracts and wanted to start treatment. I thought this was odd given my past years of great eye health. I questioned it, and he sounded pretty defensive as if I was questioning his expertises. Long story short, I sought out a second opinion and I did not have any cataracts. So lesson taught.. trust your gut. I will not be back to see him

went to Dr Kwiat because my last 5 eyeglass Rx did not provide clear vision. He told me I needed cataract surgery/recommended High definition lens (not covered by insurance) because my vision would be significantly better than with standard cataracts. I agreed based on his recommendations and paid $5000 out of pocket. My vision is horrid. I can't read/ see clearly w/o glasses. Dr Kwiat put me off for over a year and now says it MAY be scar tissue that he can fix for $1000 per eye. he is a Quack!

Fantastic Doctor fantastic surgeon. My first time without glasses in over 35 years. It's amazing to have 20/20 vision back again. Can't say enough about this fine surgeon.

I have gotten Lucentis at other offices, and they have been painful and handled very poorly He makes sure that my eye is numb and that I am not in pain. However, I cannot drive right now because of my eyesight and my wife has to drive me .Injections are only done on Wednesday, and his latest appointment is at 310.This of course means that my wife has to constantly take off from work. AT almost 5000 a shot I wish he would have later appointments available. So inconvenient.
