Based on my insurance coverage I made an appointment with this so called 5 star office/Doctor Lessing. Big mistake! My appointment was at 11 AM and arrived early and signed in at 10:35 so I could fill out paperwork ahead of time, even signed as new patient. Was asked to take a seat. I was never given any paperwork to fill out as you normally would. I sat for 30 min. watching the receptionists texting away on their cell phones as well as some whispered conversations. At one point a nurse came out and whispered some critisizing comments holding a post it paper that did not sound good. At 11:05 I got up and advised the ladies at the desk, both on their cell phones that I was leaving. I was asked if I had been seen yet and I advised them they didn't even give me any paperwork to fill out yet. As I was leaving I stated I would leave a poor review due to the poor work ethic! Then and only then did I get their attention. Never saw the Doctor, but after seeing his reviews glad I left!

Dr was very friendly and listened to all my concerns. Gave me info on my injury and ways to care for my knee. He answered all my questions in a way I understood. Would highly recommend Dr Lessing for care

Patient compassion and understanding start with the receptionist at the front desk. I was there accompanying my relative with a broken foot and it was my first visit to Dr. Lessing. Broken foot-related from a car accident was getting a second opinion. Receptionist spoke to me in a horrible tone, when I replied that yes, this is related to a car accident, she immediately said that the doctor could not see us unless she had authorization from the car insurance company adjuster. She talked so fast and in a rude tone about all the info she would need from the claims adjuster. I had nothing to write all this down with, never been thru this process before dealing with a car insurance claims adjuster, and she tells me that the doctor is leaving soon. Now, it would have been helpful that when we first made this appointment that all this was explained to us so it would have given us enough advance time to gather all the info before the appointment. We canceled appt. Not coming back.

excellent. aspirated right knee. gel one injection. running commentary & explanation of everything that took place. Dr. Lessing sincerely cares for his patient's well being. Thank you.

Had a injury to my left knee, I have used this office approx. 4 years ago for my right. Office staff is Very friendly . Dr. Lessing explains your treatment in detail while offering different approaches / options with no pressure. There goal is to see you have comfort with what treatment you choose. Excellent bedside manner, with a caring staff that is there for you. Wonderful experience and staff!

Dr Lessing is the Greatest I have been his patient for a while and I hope he will never retire

He’s awful. Didn’t listen. Took 3 personal phone calls during our short consultation and prescribed a nerve medication without waiting for determining tests. Never again.

Skilled professional that keeps my 96 yr old knees pain free.

As a new patient, they were able to fit me in the very next day. Staff is very professional and efficient. Dr. Lessing was thorough and he took his time with me. Didn’t feel rushed. I don’t understand why this office has so many negative reviews.

Basically felt as if he could give two sh*ts about his patients. I felt rushed, as if the only concern was making money instead of helping others.

Unfortunately, this doctor lacks basic professionalism expected from someone in his field. The wait time is atrocious considering the slow inflow of patients and the amount of time this doctor spends with people. The nurse and staff are helpful and courteous; the doctor is not. As others have mentioned, he rushes through examinations without addressing any lingering questions. It almost seems as if he is bored with his line of work. Expect to wait an hour.

You want your doctor to care about what you are going through. This doctor will see you maximum for 5 minutes with minimal communication. I kept saying i am in pain and his reply was i dont know why you are in pain as your x-ray came normal. Excuse me?? i could not walk with support of my husband i was walking. very bad experience with this doctor. Def not going there again. Changed my orthopedic doctor.

I have seen Dr Lessing for my knees and had had knee surgery with him a couple of years ago. Very pleasant fellow. I had no problems with my knee since the surgery. Waiting time is another thing. I waited for over 30 minutes my last visit and that was only in the waiting room. Would I recommend this doctor?yes if only I didn't have to wait that long.

I had a very pleasant experience at Orthopedic Associates. Dr. Lessing and his staff were very knowledgeable and accommodating. I would highly recommend this office.

I had a 2:45 appointment. There was 2 people in the waiting room with me. I waited in the waiting room for 45 min, then waited another hour just to be seen for 5 min. Very dismissive in the way he talks and got the feeling he was kind of clueless as to what was wrong with me. Very bad experience. Do not come here!

I tried hard to be engaged in conversation with Dr Lessing to ask questions and to get clarification on my injury and steps to recovery. His attitude became more impatient as we talked, and he basically yelled at me saying that I was the cause for rise in health care prices. All I wanted to know was if I should have an MRI, since the X-rays were inconclusive and suggested that I get a cat scan or MRI. He finally created the prescriptions, but I have since decided to not work with him.

I don't doubt that Dr Lessing is knowledgeable in this field but he's not a people person whatsoever. I want my doctor to be trustworthy and actually provide CARE...unfortunately dr lessing is less than suitable in this regard. Our appointments were all less than 10 minutes with minimal interaction, blown off questions and so far my issues have only gotten worse. Moving on to a new Dr immediately.

The check in receptionist was very friendly. After she left, this very rude receptionist covered her desk. I asked her a question and she was annoyed! First visit with the doctor, I waited approximately a 1 1/2 hours for him. He came in the examination room did not introduce himself or even apologize for the time spent waiting. Within ten minutes the evaluation was over. Another reason why i waited so long Liz had a family member of hers who had a later appointment see the doctor first.
