Have been going here for a while and was told today before an appointment that they no longer take my insurance. They could have looked before I arrived, and did not. I was turned away at the counter with no warning. I am in pain and they would not let me pay out of pocket or anything. They do not take BSBC from the marketplace. Avoid these people, customer service is non-existent!

First Visit - Great Experience
Staff were friendly and professional. The appointment was on time, I did not have to wait long to see Dr. Michel. Dr. Michel was friendly, professional, and listened to my concerns. He did not minimize my pain and how I was feeling. Dr. Michel was thorough in his examination, answered questions, and received feedback with an easy, positive bedside manner. It was clear that Dr. Michel has a genuine interest in helping his patients feel better! I am confident that I have found a good doctor who will listen, respond accordingly, and have my best health at heart.

I highly recommend!!!
Dr. Michel saved my life. I moved here over 2 years ago and didn't find a new doctor in the area at the time. I went on vacation and during this time I experienced swollen feet. I felt bloated and weak and was in pain. Upon returning home I went to see a doctor and was then told I have kidney failure and was advised to go find and talk to a rheumatologist. I called up several doctors in the area and told the appointment setter it was imperative I get seen but some took new patients but had to wait 6 weeks out or some didn't take at all because of COVID. In any case, I went to the hospital 6 times and got the same results. They stabilize me ( IV and labs) and sent me home. A nurse that treated me this last time finally called around and found a Dr not in the area to take the call. He told her to give me his number and I felt worse. He placed me on aggressive medications to help stabilize me. I have been treated by him since and is in remission for over a year.

Dr. Michel is a wonderful provider. As a patient with an unexplainable condition that many other providers dismissed for years, he didn't. I ended up in the hospital behind my condition and he was very attentive to my concerns and needs whenever I called or had any concerns. He suggested medications I did not want to try but I tried because I trusted him as my doctor. When I advised him of my side effects and expressed I no longer wanted to take them he listened and gave me other options. He spends a great amount of time with me during my visit and listened to how I felt. I would recommend and have recommended him to several of my family members.

Do not go to this doctor. He was very aggressive with medicine to lower uric acid and caused bone marrow suppression resulting in many blood transfusions and procrit injections for a patient in the State of Delaware. When we tried to contact him, we learned that he no longer employed with the hosipital. He did not properly review lab results in a timely manner and did not respond to patient calls while patient exhibited serious side effects of the medicine he prescribed. He should be reported.

Beware! When you are dealing with a chronic illness that affects not only your life but your family you want a doctor who will explore every avenue in helping you find answers and relief. I can assure you based on my experience that Dr. Michel is not interested in anything other that pushing more medicine and moving on to the next ailing patient. I found him to be dismissive to my questions and concerns regarding my pain . Sadly, countless ailing patients will be affected by his lack of empathy.
