Dr Milks has been my doctor since 2004 2006 I believe and present time 2024. I find them to be very polite and tight man to his patience, soft-spoken he tells you what you need to know he’s upfront with you he will answer your questions the best of his ability, a very kind man and Dr. and that shows how human he is and the time he spends with you come up with a diagnosis he’s honest and caring

Dr Milkes is an unusual doctor and human being. I had recently started seeing Dr Milkes when I was diagnosed with a rare cancer having nothing to do with the condition for which I consulted Dr. Milkes. The recommendations from oncologists varied so wildly that I could not decide on a path to take. Dr Milkes offered to, and followed through on speaking to every single doctor that was involved. He even facilitated a referral to the chief of the department specializing in my diagnosis. I honor and thank him for his compassion and dedication.

Dr. Milkes is a rare and amazing doctor who is an expert in his field, kind, compassionate, empathetic and attentive to his patients needs. Unlike other doctors, he was never concerned about the length of time he spent with me only that I understood my condition and got the help that I needed. On many occasions, he went beyond the scope of his specialty and duties to help me by collaborating with other doctors and advocating for me when my insurance wouldn't cover a necessary medication. Sadly his office no longer takes my current insurance plan but, this did not stop him from volunteering to help me at his own expense - an act of kindness that no other doctor has ever offered before and one I will never forget. I look forward to the day when his office takes my insurance again so that I can return to him and his wonderful staff. I hope you take the opportunity to see him if you are fortunate enough to have insurance coverage that his office accepts.

Dr. Milks was very careering. He listened to ALL of concerns and explained everything for me. In a manner that I understood everything. I personally will go back to him and recommend Dr. D. Milks to everyone.

Dr. Milkes is wonderful... Takes time to explain procedure( colonoscopy) . Dr. Milkes was also very reassuring and made me feel calm. Pre-procedure instructions very clear and thorough. Procedure process simple and easy . Has great staff as well .

If you are searching for a patient, lovable GI specialist then Dr Milkes should be contacted. Yrs ago my mom had one foot in the grave as she had been undergoing chemotherapy for colon cancer & became extremely ill. Dr Milkes was assigned to her case & he thought of a "potion" that the hospital dispensary did not have. I ran to the local pharmacy & the medication was obtained. Dr Milkes Is as astute & sharp as they come. 7 yrs later at 92 yrs old mom outruns me! Bless this special MD!!!

He is a very knowledgeble and compasionate and he treats with dignity and respect. He listens to every input you give him and works with you. I highly recomend Dr. Milkes.

I recently was treated by Dr. Milkes. He is easy to talk to, very friendly and genuine. He was informative about the procedure and explained it in a way that anyone would understand. The entire staff at North Shore Gastroenterology were great start to finish. My procedure was scheduled 7 days after the first visit. The atmosphere is very comfortable and they make you feel safe. The Anesthesiologist, nurse and staff were great, friendly, helpful and most of all caring.
