As a psychiatrist you should expect to work with a variety of patients but when a patient exhibits a need for help with mental wellbeing Dr. Montani decides he can no longer treat the patient. Isn't that what you have made an oath to do? I was deeply disappointed in the level of care and commitment that he displayed in patient care. His office staff as stated in the other review cannot be trusted. There was no partnering, no empathy, just complete abandonment. If you can't handle working with patients that need help then you should find another profession.

He does not seem to be passionate about his patients but very focused on his earnings from his patients. People like him should not be physicians!

Wonderful psychiatrist. I went to him for around half a year and would continue to go to him if my insurance hadn't changed. The office and office staff are wonderful, Dr. Montani is well educated and good at what he does, and allows the patient a say in their treatment.

Finding a psychiatrist in St. Louis for my son who has depression is very hard. The depression was worse right after Thanksgiving. Every psychiatrist had a 3-4 week waiting period. Dr. Monatani's secretary, Haley, promised me she would find an opening between that week and before Dec. 21 when classes were over. She kept reassuring me, even 3 days before he was to leave. I never heard from her. She left me high and dry at a very vulnerable time. Do NOT trust Dr. Montani's secretary Haley.
