Rudeness beyond Rude
Several years ago my 93 yr old husband needed local cardiologist for accessibility and convenience as we had no one to drive us out of town. He also had advancing dementia, and had a pacemaker. He was not able to ask or give pertinent information to the doctor concerning his conditions. Yet Dr Nabert wanted only to communicate with him; often the topic was my husband's former professional career rather than the reason for the visit. As my husband's sole caregiver, when I tried to interject things that were very relevant to our visit, he rudely held up his hand in my face and said 'Let me finish!' Never known a doctor to be so blatantly rude and not to acknowledge that the caregiver of an aged, dementia patient has current information if he really has his patient's needs at heart.

Dr Nabert was all of the rude things mentioned on other reviews before me. He spoke to my 86yr old father like he was a dog!! My father is too kind and would continue to see him if necessary but I won’t hesitate to tell anyone how much I dislike him, whether he is smart or not. And Ken Johnson’s good review is only good because he is also an MD, and he would have gotten better treatment than others do. On the other hand, Dr Schwartz, who performed his cardiac cath is AMAZING, very professional and courteous. Love him!!

Seeing him since 2014 and each time I say to myself, never again. The staff never seems to enjoy working there. He is always at least an hour late. His bedside manner is awful, and such a dry personality. He is rude and condescending. No introductions of the staff that enters the room. FINALLY time to move on.

He recommended a stent but did not meet with me at a scheduled appointment to discuss this. I changed doctors, found out my blood flow was normal and that I did not need a stent nor Catheterization. That was 7 years ago. Not trustworthy. Do not see this doctor.

My impression of Dr. Nabert over several years is that he is extremely competent and has excellent patient skills. When I was looking for ablation for AFib he very carefully explained why it was not a good idea in my particular case. He has provided me with first rate cardiology follow-up. I would recommend him to family and friends and particularly to Veterans as he seems particularly sensitive to our service-related issues.

If not for the billing, it was a good visit. Three weeks after my visit, received a bill for the lab work he had done. Turns out, ALL of the lab work was out of network even though my insurance normally covers lab work and is the largest insurer in the state of Georgia, BCBS. No warning by the office at all. Just a bill for $900 for routine lab work(cardio stress test). Make sure you ask specifically if everything little thing they do is covered by your insurance.
