Exceptional!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. David Nazarian and the incredible team at Rothman Orthopaedic. Dr. Nazarian performed my left hip replacement surgery on 3.28.25. Due to a bad experience with a right hip replacement in 2024 with a different medical provider, I was very scared and nervous about having to go through this surgery again. Dr. Nazarian and his team listened to my past medical history and my concerns. They treated me in a holistic, compassionate manner and actively listened to me and treated me like an individual patient and a human being from pre- to post-op. Because of Dr. Nazarian's care, I am less than two weeks out from my total left hip replacement with minimal pain. I'm up walking with my walker multiple times each day and have even reached the phase where I can perform light household chores and prepare simple meals. Thank you so much, Dr. Nazarian and the entire Rothman team. You have given me my life back.

While I read some positive reviews, unfortunately I cannot add to the positive reviews. Dr Nazarian performed a knee reconstruction on my left knee in October of 2023. It has now been 16 months, and I am still not “back to normal”. Still experiencing stiffness and pain. I also did months of P. T. but this did not seem to help. My biggest problem is that Dr Nazarian NEVER brought me in for a follow up. The only time I saw him after surgery was when I called and demanded an appointment because there were issues. I had bleeding and an accumulation of blood.

The top man in Philly
I received excellent care from Dr. Nazarian and his team at Rothman Orthopedics for my knee replacement. He provides patients with lots of material on the procedure and his PA Ryan is always available and helpful throughout surgery and the recovery period. I started PT 2 days after the procedure, the key to a quick recovery. I used Brianna at Rothman PT and she helped me get back to playing golf in just 6 weeks.

Disappointing Appointment
I went to Dr. Nazarian for a second opinion following a total knee replacement that was done by a different surgeon which has been problematic for a year and a half. During my second visit to Dr. Nazarian, he reversed everything he told me during the first visit. He told me I should 'just live with it' (the pain and mobility issues from a replacement that wasn't done right) and that maybe I will 'get lucky and my knee replacement will wear out early' so I can have revision surgery sooner. He was not prepared for this visit (didn't review the chart notes from the first visit), rushed out in less than 5 minutes and did not offer any solutions. He may be a good surgeon from what I hear but I cannot recommend him based upon my experience.

Top hip & knee surgeon
Dr. Nazarian was my hip replacement surgeon 22 years ago. My hip is still going strong & I am not an idle person. I’ve danced, skied, walked, traveled. My knee is now my concern. His plan of action will, I know, get me back on my feet. Wouldn’t dream of going to anyone else.

Awesome
Dr N is Empathetic to active, athletic patients who are aging and not only physically in pain, but mentally too given the loss of ability to run, workout etc. Offers advice about how to adapt until it’s time for a replacement. Kind, super experienced and accessible. TY

Very likely
Dr. Nazarian has been my orthopedic surgeon for many years. I had a TNR on the right side with excellent results. My recent visit was for pain and swelling in my left knee. Expected to get fluid removed but Dr. N said the swelling was tissue. Offered me cortisone but that doesn't work for me. Asked about another injection I have had success with in the past. Because of Medicare coverage, I was able to get it on the spot. I would not trust anyone else (except Ryan, Dr. N PA) with my knee issues. Been to other orthopedists in the past. No comparison. Dr. Nazarian is sometimes a man of few words in the office but he is sympathetic, answers my questions and cares about me.

Disappointed
I have left positive reviews of Dr. Nazarian before, but as time goes on, his caring becomes less and less. I have had a hip replacement and revision, and am still having problems. 2 years is too long for a hip to be swollen and yet I get no help from him. I still cannot lay on the operated side because of the swelling. I cannot walk far because the outer hip causes terrible pain. The last time I was there I told him I feel I have no quality of life anymore and asked him if this is how my life will be and his response was, 'Yes.'! What kind of doctor gives you no hope for the future! I get more help from Ryan, his PA. I am completely disappointed in him.

Best in the business
From start to finish my experience with the Rothman team was a pleasure. The staff keep me well informed throughout the process leading up to my hip replacement. Dr. Nazarian is a true gentleman and a master of his craft. Dr. Nazarian truly cares about his patients and this became apparent to me when I had received a phone call from him the night before surgery. I appreciate him calling to see how I was doing and putting my mind at ease with some encouraging words. If anyone that I know would ever need a fantastic surgeon, I would not hesitate to send the to Dr. Nazarian. From my experience I can say that Dr. Nazarian is the best at what he does! Thank you Dr. Nazarian and the whole Rothman team for changing my life.

I am always taken at or within 5 minutes of my appointment. The staff is always helpful and pleasant. Dr. Nazarian is the best. I have had bilateral knee and hip replacements and feel wonderful. I can still exercise, walk miles and line dance and pain free. I would highly recommend Dr. Nazarian.

Never Ever Again
I waited 1 hr and 15 mins all for this Dr to yell at the doorframe of my patient room that he wasn't going to talk to me without xrays. When scheduling this appt I was not informed that I would need these. He could have said it differently but chose to bark at me 2 sentences and walk away. I took a half a day off, paid $15 copay and used my time all FOR NOTHING. I will never ever ever see this man and will inform all my gym buddies of his unprofessional manner, almost bullying way of speaking to me. No thank you not necessary.
