Dr. David Newbern, MD

I had a torn meniscus in January 2021. Dr. Newbern did Arthroscopy on my knee and it is as good as new. I will probably need knee replacement some day and I will not have anyone but Dr. Newbern do the surgery.

The office staff were very friendly and helpful. Dr.Newbern was very nice and easy to talk to and answered all my questions.

Not only did I work with Dr. Newbern for nearly 14 yrs in the OR, he did bilateral knee replacements on me. I cannot express the immense appreciation for him and his P. A. Donna for the time I worked with them and the many years I have been a patient. My most recent visit was about an issue I have been having with my right total knee. I was very pleased with Dr. Newbern’s approach to my options for my knee pain. He did not sugarcoat anything, but also was not quick to encourage more surgery. He provided me with a non-invasive exercise routine to help strengthen my knee to hopefully solve my knee discomfort. He has always put his patients his priority and spends as much time as necessary to explain things well and answer all of their questions. I have referred many friends to him for knee and/or hip replacement. All of them have been extremely satisfied with their treatment by him. Thank you Dr. Newbern and Donna for all your attention and care.

Dr. Newbern has done both of my TKR. My first one was through Workers Comp. I felt very fortunate to get Dr. Newbern, he came highly recommended by the Orthopedic doctor, from another state, that repaired my knee in 2009. Ortho Arkansas had a third party person call me before the surgery. They gave me a phone number to call with any questions or concerns. I got to talk to a person and not a machine. I would usually get an answer back that day. More clinics, doctors and hospitals should have something like this, not an answering machine.

Second trip to Dr. Newborn. I like him and trust him for my knee care. Dr. Like (retired) gave me the referral. I am very impressed

Dr. Newbern was very knowledgeable about my situation and was very resourceful with information. I liked the fact the surgery will be the last option. He doesn't just jump right in there and say you need surgery now. He tries other alternative treatments before that.

He’s a nice, caring doctor with awesome ability. He and his staff are compassionate as well as expertly qualified.

I found Dr. Newbern very caring and ready to answer any question I had. He explained what to expect before, during and after my surgery. He had a calming way that settle my concerns. I feel that I will be safe and taken care by the Doctor and staff.

Dr Newbern, was very attentive he explained what was going on with me in laymen terms, he was very approachable , he didn't hurry through my visit, he was professional in a friendly way he showed compassion and kindness, and I am not afraid anymore to have my surgery, in fact I am looking forward to being pain free again.

My visit with Dr. Newbern was satisfactory and he listened well. However, his office staff was a mess in setting up my two following appointments. A voice mail was sent to me that was difficult to understand and it was not made clear that that appointment was in another location. I arrived at his office instead and was sent to another location that was difficult to find. I called that radiology office and they said I did not have an appointment at all. I talked with the nurse at Newbern's office and she was not helpful and insinuated that I must have gotten it all wrong. This was very frustrating, of course.

Dr. Newbern did my first hip replacement in February 2019 so when my other hip began giving me the same trouble (arthritis) I immediately knew who to call. He was just as kind and considerant as the first time and will be taking care of me at the end of April, I feel very comfortable and confident that this surgery will be just as successful as the first. I would definitely recommend him
