Dr David O’Neal was so helpful and caring. He spent time assessing my situation and discovered I was dealing with a spinal injury. When I thought I had MS or Parkinson’s or something. He ran tests and got to the core issue! His staff was amazing! They took my situation very seriously as I had been dealing with problems for years. I immediately got my MRI results and a phone call. Then was recommended to Neurosurgery and to see a Neurosurgeon. I trust and highly recommend Dr David O’Neal and staff! Thank you!

Not sure because I cannot get anyone in his office
I would love to get an appointment for my Mom but we have been trying for 2 weeks to get someone to call us back so we can make an appointment. As of today, 7.11.2024 no one from his office has called us back yet! This is very frustrating!! I know things in offices are busy but 2 weeks after leaving multiple messages and no phone call back, is a little unprofessional!

This doctor staff will not call you back. My husband is sick and we were referred to him. My husband made the initial and we were told to make another appointment once results from another specialist came in. We have been calling for a month, leaving messages and no response. I was concerned that maybe something happened to the doctor so I called the actual hospital line he is associated with and I was told that this doctor receives complaints constantly about not being responsive. I’m now looking for another neurologist for my husband. Very unprofessional of his team and such a waste of time. Our healthcare system is going to mess and it breaks my heart.

Horrible staff
My doctor sent this quack a referral over a month ago. I called to make an appointment and was told the referral clerk will have to make it. But the referral clerk won't return calls. The woman at reception was as nice as could be but couldn't help me. I got the feeling that I was made to eat a big ole helping of sh*t cake.

One of BEST drs I’ve dealt with
Dr Oneal may be the most compassionate, empathetic best doctor I have dealt with in a very long time! I have been around many many doctors over my life, and Dr Neal shines above . He really takes the time to listen. And he truly cares for his patients . He is a good man . Getting thru to actually speak to someone on the phone is not as great , but he makes up for that . As much as I don’t like to drive to alabaster in that traffic, it is well worth it to see him. It’s rare these days to have a Dr that isn’t rushed and listens and cares . He gets many Gold stars !!

Dr. Oneal is hands down The best neurologist ever. Honestly, the best. His team is compassionate as well. But he takes Time to listen and really get to the bottom of what’s going on. He is the most compassionate and caring doctor and truly cares about his patients. He truly loves what he does and you can tell. You will NOT leave his office with unanswered questions. He will get to the bottom of everything. I highly recommend him!

After waiting 45 minutes in the exam room, I opened the door and was promptly asked by a nurse assistant if I could be helped. I explained we had been waiting 45 minutes for our appt and she said the Dr. had just left to go to the hospital to read results for another pt. Asking how much longer, was told "he's usually pretty quick." When I pressed for how much time that meant, was told no more than 5 mins. 30 mins later he showed up, apologizing for his tardiness. I missed over 2 hours of work.

The nurse here is terrible and never answers voicemails. The doctor just prescribes the same medications over and over and saying nothing is wrong. Well, obviously something is otherwise I wouldn’t have headaches every single day and multiple migraines a month. Do not see this doctor unless you want to deal with a rude nurse and a doctor that doesn’t help.

Dr O'Neal is a very nice and thorough Dr but his nurse is the rudest human being I have ever encountered. I have only called his practice twice to ask a question about my care and she has been so unbelievably rude that I will never go back to that office again. I might have expected her to be rude to me if I had been rude to her first but I was nothing but polite with her
