Tops of the Best
Dr S has a personality, and he is very personable and cordial with everybody. I have had dozens of eye doctors, and he is tops of the best, right up there with the best of the Mayo Clinic staff.

Phenomenal Service
Dr. Saggau and his team are wonderful. They take such good care of my 87 year old mother when we visit every 3 months. He takes time to explain her progress and makes sure she is comfortable during any procedure she may need; we never feel rushed, but he and his team are experts at staying on schedule so wait times are not long and disruptive.

Kind, skilled, professional treatment
I have been seeing Dr Saggau for a couple of years to receive treatment for macular degeneration at the Wolfe Clinic in Spencer. Our first visit was made for convenience, and without the intention of continuing care at this facility, but we were impressed by Dr. Saggau's caring manner, and his willingness to listen to our concerns and take those into consideration when discussing options and methods of treatment. He takes the necessary time to explain changes to my condition so that I can be comfortable with my treatment plan, and his skill and professionalism always make me feel confident that I am in good hands. Furthermore, the staff around him is also friendly and highly competent, and the facility always clean and well maintained, so a visit here is very low stress, and almost feels like I'm visiting my friends -- other than that needle thing, of course!

Wolfe clinic and Dr. Saggau in particular diagnosed WetMacularDegeneration during a routine eye exam before I experienced any symptoms of the disease . I was educated in the progression of the disease and told what symptoms to anticipate. When symptoms eventually occurred, I received immediate treatment. I have been receiving treatments for the disease for over 3 years now and believe I owe my recovered 20/20 vision to Dr. Saggau's care and expertise.

Dr Saggau is very special and compassionate I was referred to him many years ago by the late Dr Dean Harms when upon an examination following a sudden painful sensation brought me to Dr Harms who was my primary eye Dr at the time and upon his examination, immediately called Dr Saggau and was sent to Dr Saggau’s office in Des Moines where a diagnosis of Macular Degeneration was given. I had a couple of Laser tats and then started having Injections of Avastin eventually. I am very very satisfied
