Has anyone had any luck getting records from them???? I called twice a day for three weeks, faxed a request and sent one UPS. Finally to receive an email referring me to the Illinois Secretary of State website , I spoke with records at Ingalls who said to Try the Illinois states attorney. Frustrated!!

I've been a patient of Dr Smith's for a few years. I believe he's a great, knowledgeable,excellent, kind doctor. I was scheduled to have my shoulder scoped this coming Tuesday and I received a call from Ingalls hospital today (Thursday) informing me that I wouldn't be having surgery since Dr Smith closed the doors to his offices and terminated his service at the hospital. Not answering the phones at any of his locations. No explanation. No one knows why. I can't believe this. What happened?

Great surgeon, did a repair on my rotator cuff,,I’m at 6 month’s post-op, and he suddenly disappears, without explanation cancel our appointments and recommends me to other doctors. Can’t retrieve any records , no answer when I try to call. Expected a lot better treatment from this doctor.

I have had a great experience with this doctor. He repaired my torn rotator cuff and though I am a long way from recovery, im progressing very well with therapy. He is very knowledgeable and I definitely recommend him to anyone who needs a good orthopedic doctor.

Dr. Smith is extremely knowledgeable, experienced and up to date with technology and innovation. He is generally concerned for his patients and has a great (bed side manner). His office is appropriately staffed to accommodate his large patient load in a timely manner. What matters most is that Dr. Smith is meticulous about servicing his patients; which let's you know that you're in good hands. Dr. Smith is a combination of tradition and innovation that sets the bar high for other doctors.

Outstanding surgeon. Easy to talk to, answers all your questions and encourages you to ask questions regarding your condition. Explanations on test results are clear, understandable. Offers alternatives and does not rush patients into making decisions. He is knowledgeable, and to me, an expert in bone and joint problems.
