Dr. David Smolar, MD

I wanted to share my incredible experience with Dr. David Smolar’s back surgery. I have undergone five major back surgeries on and off since 2011. However, my sixth and final surgery on March 1, 2024, by Dr. Smolar, was a game-changer. The surgery, which took 12 hours and involved 97 staples, he removed and replaced hardware from previous surgeries. I'm so grateful because, for the first time since 2011, I am completely pain-free and my back is straight. I am incredibly grateful for Dr. Smolar’s exceptional work and his ability to help me regain my mobility and freedom from pain.

DR. Smolar has helped through my pre-surgery, surgery and post-surgery.I had my first consult at the beginning of the month and by the end of the month I already had my surgery date. Him, his team and Memorial Hospital have worked with me to now be 90% recovered only 5 months after surgery. I recommend him 1000%,they are truly the best.

My wife had serious nerve pain and Dr Smolar performed an laminectomy that relieved her pain and she is walking again with no pain. Thank you Dr Smolar !!

Staff was outstanding. The office experience was terrific. However, the doctor had no clue why I have pain even though I have a few herniated disc and no idea why I’m in pain could not explain it. He just seemed very uneducated and I did not enjoy my experience with this doctor at all, after looking forward to this visit and waiting along time to get in I thought I was going to have a wonderful with very good intuition. However I had a travel all the way to Boca Raton to see Dr Dakwar to tell me why all my pain was in the sacroiliac joint when all my bulging discs were herniated discs are in the lower back and upper back. He knew exactly what was going on. He said I treat the pain not the MRI. I did not approve of Dr. smaller and I had never experienced a visit with him. I don’t find him qualified, educated doctor whatsoever. In fact, I wish I had seen the Dr demassi, but I have lost interest in this practice!!!! For a neurosurgeon to not know why I’m in pain!!! Level 10 was beyond me
