Office abandoned me
I went and did testing at Brigham which was very abnormal. Then I and to Dr. Systrom about a treatment plan that he was going to implement. I never was able to return to him again. The physician’s assistant called me about a week later and told me that he didn’t take my insurance and I’d have to just go to local specialists. The PA didn’t take my insurance, Dr. Systrom did. There are none. That’s why I just drove 6 hours, waited a year and did invasive testing to become a patient there! If the PA doesn’t take my insurance then sign up to accept it or allow me to see the doctor who does. Instead they left me with no care. Didn’t help me arrange care locally or suggest anyone either. I left the office with extremely abnormal tests and absolutely no help or doctor to treat me.

Haven’t got to see him!!
I waited from April for an October appointment which was changed to a time I could not get there. I asked to reschedule and was given an appointment in June of 2023. Secretary is very business like and unsympathetic.

I was pleasantly surprised by Dr Systrom's knowledge of POTS and EDS and by his kindness and compassion. He's one of the good doctors who really understands what these conditions are like. His office staff and the entire facility do him a huge disservice by how rude and unprofressional they are. But he's worth braving the hellhole.
