Dr. David Tauber, MD

I'm a healthy woman who had breast reconstruction surgery in April with Dr Tauber. I acquired a bacterial infection in the OR at St. Peter’s Surgery Ctr, and that was the start of my troubles. I had to go back into the OR 3 wks. later to be reopened for implant replacement, w/clean out of the cavity w/antibiotics (under general anesthesia again), placement of a suction drain. The incision then reopened, and Dr. Tauber attempted to sew it up in the office under nonsterile conditions. The incision reopened a 2nd time, and I had to return to the OR for a 3rd surgery (again, with general anesthesia), to reopen the incision, clean out the area w/antibiotics and replace the implant again, w/another suction drain. This time, the cultures grew a fungus. The fungal infection/culture results were not acknowledged by Dr Tauber. I was dismissed from care 2 later to fend for myself. I'm still paying for all of this financially, emotionally, physically, & w/a poor aesthetic outcome. Nightmare!

After years of considering cosmetic surgery, and a couple of rough consults elsewhere, I am SO thankful that I found Dr. Tauber. I live in VT and no other surgeon in my area (including NYC, Montreal and Boston) could even compare. He corrected my tuberous breasts as part of a 'mommy makeover' like it was NBD (other surgeons weren't even familiar with how to go about doing so). He's very knowledgeable, made me feel comfortable, and he offers some of the most modern procedures out there (like wide awake face lifts). His staff is also great and seem to genuinely enjoy working with him as well which speaks volumes. He is well worth the travel from any distance, and I'll continue to drive the 8 hour roundtrip to see him for all of my cosmetic needs! Thanks Dr. T!

I had a tummy tuck performed by Dr. Tauber in April 2021. I’m extremely happy with my results. Dr. Tauber has a wonderful bedside manner. He listens to my concerns and provides excellent, understandable medical information and feedback. My favorite part of my results are the way he does his belly buttons. They look very natural and don’t have the usual round/fake looking appearance you see when most tummy tucks are performed. Would highly recommend him to anyone considering a tummy tuck!

I wanted to fill in several facial areas and correct some asymmetry to improve my appearance. Having done some research myself about various procedures and reviews of providers, I went to Deluca Plastic Surgery to inquire about facial fat grafts as a solution that would last longer than injectable fillers. I asked to see Dr. Deluca, but was told my procedure would rather be performed by Dr. Tauber, the junior partner. At my consultation, he suggested his much more expensive mini face lift procedure as producing better and longer lasting results. I agreed and had the procedure done, with negative results. The asymmetry was worse! When I called to let him know, the staff said he had done some corrective procedures at no charge in the past for similar situations. When I saw Dr. Tauber, his only remedy was to suggest fat grafting, the procedure I had originally requested, to correct the result, for an additional $1,500!!!

I had a breast reduction in late January 2020. Dr. Tauber made everything go smoothly from start to finish, and the surgery brought the results I was seeking and then some. I am approaching 50 years of age and wish more than ever that I had done this 25 years ago. I was a D and now I'm a B and in proportional alignment to the rest of my body. The heaviness, discomfort, and sometimes rashes from bra lines and workouts are gone. Dr. Tauber has great surgical skills, an excellent bedside manner, and the ability to understand what his patients are hoping to achieve. I highly, highly, highly recommend him to anyone considering this type of surgery!

I emailed Dr. Tauber for a second opinion regarding abdominal wound dehiscence following a tummy tuck. He took the time to answer any and all of my questions over multiple emails. I am looking forward to seeing him in the future for scar revision. He is 100% more compassionate than my current PS which makes a huge difference especially when you are trying to heal! Thank you Dr. Tauber for everything!

I just had a suspicious mole removed And Dr.Tauber made it painless! Also while I was at my visit I had some fillers and I couldn’t be happier.He is a true artist and makes you feel so comfortable.If you are in need of a plastic surgeon don’t hesitate to go see him.

I would recommend Dr. Tauber. He explained the in office procedure well for skin cancer lesion removal and made me feel comfortable during the procedure. He was through and had a great bed side manner as well.

I had Liposuction of abs and flanks, I am so happy with my results...I had abs NOW!! After losing 45 lbs, I wanted to tighten and remove what I couldn't control...he did just that...I have a waist now too!! His bedside manner is fantastic as well...The girls in the office are fabulous too, wonderful group!!

Highly recommend! Went in to have a cyst removed from my back and Dr. Tauber noticed a suspicious freckle that he removed to biopsy. Turns out the freckle was melanoma in situ and I’m so grateful that he found this at the earliest stage. He even went out of his way to get me into a dermatologist while out of the country! Super personable and great bed side manner.

I had a lesion on my back removed in office by Dr. Tauber, who was a referral. The wound was not healing well and I made 3 subsequent visits to Dr. Tauber who insisted everything was fine. Thank God I'm married to an RN who advised me to get a second opinion and I'm glad I did. The other plastic surgeon had to re-open the wound and suture three levels of stitches, not just the one top-level suture from Dr. Tauber. This could have turned into a very ugly abscess right on the spinal column.
