Dr. David Vazan, MD

I put off cataract surgery for years. I was beyond scared to have it done, and Dr. Vazan was incredible at calming my nerves. He LISTENED, he EXPLAINED and I just knew that he cared about his patients fears and anxieties and would do his best to make the experience as easy as possible. Had the first eye done about 3 weeks ago. On f/u visit, he asked how I thought it went. I told him I did not like the anesthesia as I was too aware of what was happening and wanted to jump off the table, also mentioned how uncomfortable the eye patch was and because of it, I had a panic attack during the night. He assured me that he would give me more anesthesia next time and use a different eye patch. Well, let me reassure all those who are reading this, Dr. Vazan is a man of his word. The second surgery was a breeze, the anesthesia was fantastic and I had NO problem with the patch. Dr, Vazan is truly a Blessing. Kind, thoughtful, caring, good listener etc. Everything you'd want in a doctor, oh & cute!

I had lasik eye surgery in 2013 with Dr. Vizan. At the time I was 23 years old. During the initial consultation I asked Dr. Vizan if I should wait to have the procedure until I was older because I had read that eyes change more rapidly when you're younger and I didn't want the procedure to be ineffective. He said I may see minor regression in my distance vision when I was older but nothing that would need to be corrected and the only thing I needed to be aware of was that it was likely that I would still need reading glasses when I aged. I was thrilled at the prospect of being able to read my shampoo bottles in the shower without glasses and made an appointment for the procedure. During the actual procedure the chair that moves the patient between the two lasers malfunctioned. My eye flap on one eye had already been cut and the chair would no longer operate. I had to sit in a secondary room and wait while they called a representative from the chair company to troubleshoot it. Althoug
