Helped me reduce medication
I have chronic acid reflux and had been trying to get off prescription acid blockers for many years. Other doctors told me I would have to be on them for the rest of my life. I have osteoporosis and felt that the particular drug I was on may have caused or accelerated my bone loss. Dr Wan recommended an over the counter product that I had never heard of and which has helped me a lot and has no impact on my bones. I stopped taking the prescription acid blockers two years ago.

Active listener
Every time I see Dr Wan, he actively listens, discusses ideas and we agree on a plan with his lead-guidance. He is accommodating, calm and wise. I highly recommend him and the team for any IBS-IBD problems. I live with collagenous colitis and he is compassionate about the burden of living with and managing chronic illness.

I can not say enough great things about him and his entire office. It is rare to find a top Doctor who is kind and makes you feel like he really cares.

Dr. Wan is a very good gastroenterologist
I had a good follow up visit with Dr. Wan after he performed a colonoscopy and an endoscopy for me two months ago. He did a very good job with those procedures and I would highly recommend him for those things. I had no complications from those procedures as I had in the past with another doctor, no pain, bleeding, etc. Also the prep was much more doable for me. Dr. Wan listened to my concerns and prescribed the right one. I was happy that on both of my recent office visits I did not need to talk to a nurse first which I consider a waste of time. Dr. Wan went over my procedures with me and answered my questions. He is very patient and knowledgeable and kind. However, it is difficult to schedule appointments, if you can get through to the office at all, and appointments are 2 months out if not more.

Thoroughly Engaged and Very Helpful
I sought Dr. Wan's advice about how best to deal with the effects of my mildly tortuous colon. Our virtual visit was my first meeting with Dr. Wan. He gave me his full attention throughout the visit and asked pertinent questions related to my history. He was already quite informed about my history as he'd read the reports on two colonoscopies I'd had done at Weill Cornell. He made clear that he would recommend colonoscopy prep that would better suit the gag reaction I have to consuming large amounts of liquid in a short time. In sum, he was attentive, thoughtful, and helpful throughout.

Horrible person and doctor!
One of the worst experience I have ever had in a physician’s office!! The doctor wanted to see patients who were late to their appointments but made me wait even though I arrived early in case I miss my appointment! He took his time with patients who were late that were impeding on to my time. Thus, I finally asked the assistants who asked me if I wanted to leave and reschedule! I did not drive for 45 minutes to go and come back home without being seen! After waiting for so long, the doctor walked in and rushed through my appointment not explaining much and ordered procedures without explaining the details of the procedures! I am going to change this physician and never go back to him and I will tell others to do the same
