Restoring hope
Telehealth
My daughter is a new patient of Dr. Younger. When I first contacted the office, I was happily surprised to get a live person on the phone immediately who was able to answer questions and tell us about the practice. After expressing interest in scheduling a consultation, I received a callback within five minutes from Dr. Younger himself who listened to our story. He squeezed us in for a consultation right away and quickly developed the beginning phases of a treatment plan. Dr. Younger has immediately reached out to collaborate with all of my daughter's providers. I have to say, after not getting many answers and watching our daughter deteriorate for several years, it is refreshing to connect with a doctor who seems to have a grasp on the situation. For the first time in a long time, we have hope. We have a long way to go, but I do feel as though my daughter can improve under Dr. Younger's care. We are very grateful to have connected with him.

A doctor's doctor
I was having numbness my feet, was tested by a neurologist, and, based on a family history of autoimmune conditions, that neurologist recommended that I see Dr. Younger due to his particular expertise in the intersection of the immune and nervous systems. Blood tests that Dr. Younger ordered revealed that I may have both celic disease and atrophic gastritis, which may be causing low B-12, which may help explain my peripheral neuopathy (as well as long--standing low blood cell counts). I greatly appreciate how Dr. Younger was able to figure out what's going on with me, including basic issues that had been overlooked by other doctors. Thank you, Dr. Younger!

Excellent Neurologist
Telehealth
My daughter suffers from a complex neurological condition that nobody before Dr Younger could properly diagnose. Dr Younger performed a battery of tests, diagnosed her and proposed a treatment. He is very meticulous in his work, spends a lot of time with patient, and is willing to go above and beyond in order to provide comprehensive care. He also provided persuasive letters for insurance, and for school in order to secure accommodation for my daughter. A rare gem in medical profession.

Great neurologist
Very thorough neurological evaluation. I traveled from out of town to see Dr. Younger as I have an uncommon neurological condition that has been hard to treat. Dr Younger presented a treatment plan that I am very optimistic will help me achieve my healing goals. I appreciate his good communication with me and my doctors.

Awful experience that cost me $5,000 out of pocket
I'm desperate because I have long-term loss of smell and taste because of Covid. I was hopeful having found Dr Younger who was very positive about being able to help. I booked the appointment and was told it'd cost $500 for the visit. The visit itself was a joke -- it started with a 30 minute weird interview about my life in which he dictated everything I said in a weird 'wikipedia-esque' tone and wrote it down. It took forever -- I could have just submitted an essay in advance lol. It also left out essential things like 'did you get a Covid vaccine?' He then paraded me around his office doing really strange tests that I'd never heard before. No mention of cost came up.On the way out, they charged me $5,000. I was in shock and paid. Of course the insurance won't cover it. That's a LOT of money for a lot of nothing. Because of this experience, I have decided not to seek further care for my condition.

Our Daughter's Physical Savior
Dr. Younger carefully reviewed our daughter's complex and extensive medical records and complemented it with his own testing. He developed and fought for her treatment plan. After years of struggling and pain compounded with dismissive physicians who chose to go with 'psych' issues and parental abuse rather than taking the time to research and dig for answers, Dr. Younger saved her life. Previously, we were talked to about her demise and hospice was suggested rather than truly listening and caring. We were confronted with this on no less than 4 occasions. In reality, it was all the physicians we encountered who chose to allow her to deteriorate and die rather than help her to live. We lost precious time until we met Dr. Younger. Although she is compromised due to the lack of quick diagnosis and treatment in Minnesota, (Yes, that IS where the Mayo Clinic is), she is now surviving and thriving while planning her future. It has been 6 years since we met Dr. Younger and she is still here!

One of a kind, brilliant and compassionate!
My 18 year old daughters life has been given back to her, thanks to Dr. Youngers care! She struggled with debilitating physical ailments as she entered her junior year in high school. Thankfully, we were blessed to meet Dr Younger! With his exceptional knowledge, he diagnosed and has spearheaded treatment for her POTS, as well as her issues with a genetic heart syndrome, and other physical and emotional struggles related to her autoimmune disorder. Dr. Youngers unwavering dedication, and thoughtfulness, have made this, otherwise dreadful time, an extremely positive time for my daughter! She’s looking forward to future now, as she’s planning to attend college in the Fall! Dr. Younger has given her the comfort, peace of mind and strength, because she knows that he has her back! We are eternally grateful!!

One of the best out there
Dr. Younger is extremely efficient, responsive, and knowledgeable. He took ownership of my complex case when many other neurologists wouldn't touch me with a 10-foot pole. He set up a comprehensive treatment strategy and *actually* communicated with the rest of my care team. I highly recommend him for anyone struggling with neurological symptoms!

Highly recommend!
Dr. Younger is efficient, knowledgeable and compassionate. My daughter has been suffering with Neurologic issues (in a wheelchair with Ng tube) for 18 months and no doctor has bern able to help her or tell us why this is happening. We left Dr. Younger’s office with a diagnosis (EMG and tilt table test done in office) and in less than a month had insurance approval for treatment! I highly recommend Dr. Younger!

Saving Grace
Dr. Younger was our saving grace. His expertise in neurological conditions like mine is second to none and it wasn’t until we found him that we truly started getting anywhere in terms of healing. Dr. Younger is prompt and efficient. He was kind enough to consult with me over the phone during his off-hours, and we were off to New York within two weeks. We are eternally grateful for his guidance and to have him on our team.

We found Dr. Younger through a friend's referral and have been very impressed with his bedside mannerisms and his knowledge and responsiveness. He is not only very knowledgeable, but he also takes the time to listen and get to the root of the problem instead of just treating the symptoms. He explains his findings and his diagnoses in a simplistic way so as to instill confidence and level of comfort. He is for sure one of the most responsive doctors and hard working doctors that we have ever come across.

I am a Covid Long Hauler, who prior to Dr. Younger, sought out help from 15 specialists at NYU-and I can't tell you how many times I heard "this is uncharted territory" or "time will heal you". Dr. Younger however quickly identified my problems and was prompt and accurate with my diagnosis. I am now undergoing effective treatment and have a much more positive outlook on my situation-thanks to Dr. Younger.

My son was referred to Dr. Younger by his primary care doctor after years of trying to diagnose and treat recurring neuropathy. We live outside DC, and had to travel to NYC to see Dr. Younger during the pandemic. He and his staff were very helpful in letting us know what tests and timing would be required for the trip, as well as scheduling around our available times. The first visit was productive and we were hopeful that treatment would be approved by my son's insurance company. Sadly, it was not, but Dr. Younger went well beyond our expectations in battling the company and helping us gain approval. My son has just started a six-month treatment regimen at home and we hope it will be successful and relieve his pain. Where many other specialists gave up. Dr. Younger persisted.

I’ve been struggling with a number of neurological conditions for over a year and a half. I had two neurologists working together and visited the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Younger was able to provide an actual diagnosis within a month and I’ll be starting treatment in less than a week. It was beginning to feel like I’d be treating my condition symptom by symptom for the rest of my life. Now there’s a real path toward healing. He has been proactive in helping me understand my condition, what the options are and has gone out of his way to support me - often calling after hours or on the weekend. I am so grateful to have him on my team and as a partner in what would have been an otherwise untenable situation.
