Dr Mattox is on the computer during all visits ends up referring to unneeded specialist because of not taking time to listen or ask questions to solve the patients needs. I will never go back.

I've been going to Mattox since I can remember with my mom. As I got older and started going on my own, I realized how rude he was. He doesn't have very good bedside manners and gets irritated when I ask him to explain things to me so I can understand certain treatments and diagnoses. I wouldn't advise going to him if you want good one on one communication. His staff is super sweet, though.

The Doctor and office have the patient as primary. There is love and peace to be had in this practice. I may not like the truth but it what they will provide.

I was told my Dr. Mattox's office I am not due for a pneumonia vaccine after being informed by my infectious disease doctor that, yes, due to my situation, I should have the vaccine. If Dr. Mattox's office is not aware or educated enough about my health requirements, which is in my records with his office, then I will find a primary care doctor who is. It is not my place to return to Dr. Mattox's office and tell them they are wrong. I would suggest if anyone is researching this office for a primary care doctor, go elsewhere.

He is a great family doctor and has been out doctor for 10 years. He communication is straight forward and his office staff are helpful and professional. Not sure why the disgruntled reviews of others. He handles what a family doctor should and refers to specialists when appropriate. My guess is disgruntled reviews did not like being referred to a specialist or were drug seekers. Sadly there are too many of those in our area.

Not a chance I would even send my enemies to this guy. He is a joke of a doctor, can't even diagnose people, referred me elsewhere when I thought I had high blood pressure, wouldn't even try to help me. No wonder he takes walk-ins, no one even goes there!!

Being a new patient there, I'm very pleased with the professionalism of Dr Mattox and his staff there. Even without an appointment during the last visit, I didn't have to wait over 15 minutes to see anyone. I think I'll keep him around for awhile. ;-)
