Not a good experience
On my second visit with Dr. Biswas he had to residents with him. We went over how the previous medication was not working. He then decided to give me another preventative for my migraines. When I asked him what to do or take when I get another one, his exact words were “if you take this medicine, you will not get another migraine again.” I got another major migraine 6 days later. I cannot see another neurologist in the area because they are all associated with North Alabama group and I’m technically his patient.

I really liked him.
I saw Dr Biswas in 2010 I believe. He ordered an MRI and when he got the results he tried to explain it to me but it's rare and I am not sure he really knew much about Chiari malformation back then cuz all I remember is that I have tonsils at the top of my spine. I'm grateful he tried to explain it to me the best he knew how. I, however, don't know how to go about getting my records cuz I'm having a issues getting any doctors to believe me about my headaches. Dr. Biswas was by far my favorite neurologist and believed me when I told him my headaches are crippling. Seriously thank you Dr Biswas..... Michelle Pawloski

very painful EMG and nerve conduction test
1 year ago he gave me an EMG and nerve conduction test. It was brutal and painful. He left impressions in my skin from the test that lasted over 2 hours. I complained to his PA and the nurses. I also filed a complaint to my health insurance. I just found that I can file a complaint to the Alabama board of medical examiners. I have been told he has moved on to Mississippi. I have since had 2 EMG and nerve conduction test from other medical providers. No complaints and very minor discomfort.

I saw Dr. Biswas on March 5, 2021, and he was simply amazing, understanding, proactive, caring, and professional. Dr. Biswas has an excellent bedside disposition, and he was VERY thorough. In addition, Dr. Biswas discussed my concerns, and I fully supoort his plan of care for me. I am thankful that my other physician, the phenomenal Dr. Samuel C. Polk, III, referred me to Dr. Biswas. I will be recommending this awesome neurologist to others without hesitation.

First visit and we were very impressed with him and his staff. Took time to explain my diagnosis thoroughly and his great sense of humor helped tone down my anxiety. Would highly recommend him.

My mother was a patient of Dr Biswas's for 5 + years. She had several serious illnesses, which made her health care complicated at the least. Two of which were Parkinson's and Dementia. Dr Biswas accepted her as a patient and gave his all to assist with making her last years the best they could be. He is a very good, smart, attentive doctor that is enthusiastic about his profession. He was respectful to my mother even when she was truly unable to communicate effectively to him. I have enormous respect and faith in Dr Biswas.

I’m completely shocked by some of these reviews. I saw Dr. Biswas for tension headaches I’ve had since childhood and migraines that began 5 years ago. Kindest doctor I have ever met. Hands down. He was a wonderful listener, cracked jokes with me, and was very thorough with his examination. He made me feel comfortable and listened to concerns I had. I would absolutely, 100% recommend him to anyone with neurological problems. I actually look forward to my follow up with him in 6 weeks. Never thought I would be excited about a doctors visit. He and his staff treated me like a friend. Greatful for his help and this whole experience.

I was most disappointed. I did everything that was asked of me and once I started questioning mid-reporting of diagnosis and disagreed calls I was receiving from the clinic, I was discharged. My appointment was cancelled without my knowledge. I am a partner of my healthcare and not a pawn that can be disposed of the moment I question the care I received. I will gladly move on since I am most disappointed in who I thought was a good provider.

Very Judgementsl doctor . He was my physician for about a year. I was given numerous diagnosis and the meds he was prescribing me was not beneficial. One day during a visit he told me that he felt the reason I was in so much pain was because of my weight . He stated ,” you have a beautiful face , beautiful hair but your body not so Beautiful “. I ended up being so upset that I scheduled an appointment with another doctor located in Jackson TN and I found out I have Lyne Disease !

Over the past 3 years I have seen Dr. Biswas at least 3 times, he has always been very professional. He took the time to explain my situation and what I needed to do. He was to the point but extremely understanding. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I have never in 38 years been told by any Dr there is nothing I can do for you go see your PCP or go to the ER. He is the specialist he is the one that supposed to know what to do. He is so quick to say if you need anything just call, but it takes 4 calls to even get someone to understand how much pain you are in to get a nurse to call you. Then you have to tell the nurse your going to see me now not in a month. It's just ridiculous.

Dr. Biswas is an excellent listener. I have always found him to be very patient and empathetic. He is also not one to waste time, which I appreciate, but suppose others might find off putting.

After waiting 2 hours to see this arrogant ego maniac he would not listen to me because after asking me a few questions he made his diagnosis and wasn't the least bit interested in anything I had to add. He was condescending, rude, and socially ignorant. I was more than shocked by his behavior and lack of professionalism. I PRAY you seek help with another neurologist. He showed no genuine concern or empathy. I have never been treated with such disrespect. SHAME ON HIM!

He never let me explain the problems I'm experiencing without interrupting me. Then, he was close to out of the door without letting me finish my questions and get the answers I needed. He needs to communicate with his patients better and be much more courteous. After waiting 1 1/2 hours to see him, I got maybe 5 minutes with him. I won't be going back.
