Sick Visit a PENN RIDGE
I am the child who has seen today so if you read anyone’s review read mine. I female age 17 I’ve been going since I was a baby. came in for an appointment for nausea. At penn ridge I didn’t get to choose the doctor I wanted to she I got put with DR. DEBORAH FACCENDA. I never had issues before with the gowns if I didn’t want to wear one I didn’t have to. So I didn’t put it on Deborah comes in the room refused to step in until a I had one on which I still refused to wear because I wore thin clothes to my appointment. Deborah turned my appointment into a lecture about “you need to put one on” but as I stated it wasn’t an issue with any other doctor. The nurse asked me to o my remove my shirt and use it to cover myself, Deborah wanted me completely stripped underneath. I wasn’t about to strip for her when I was the only one in the room. So I told her no once again. So she gave up on arguing and started the assessment on me. Was nauseous and tell me why she was lifting up my underwear.

I have gone to Pennridge Pediatrics since we moved to PA in 2013. I will now be leaving because of Dr. Facenda's unprofessional behavior and condescending/arrogant bedside Manner. Rolling her eyes, laughing at my child's concerns as if my teen is stupid, dismissing our questions and concerns because we had questions about her recommendation. I will never allow her near my children ever again. She needs to retire. She is jaded, tired and no longer views her patients and their families as PEOPLE. She behaves as if patients and their parents are stupid and beneath her.

I’ve been taking my kids to this practice for years however I will be switching based on my experience with Dr. Faccenda. Not only was her instruction on how I should parent my child biased and rude, it was also unfounded and purely baseless opinions. She has no bedside manner whatsoever and it strikes me very odd that she’s in this profession at all given her cold, judgmental attitude. I’d suggest she read up on current practices of nurturing mothers and stop spewing outdated advice that’s nothing more than a list of myths from 50 years ago. Parents deserve supportive doctors who recognize times have changed and old philosophies no longer apply. And if you’re going to talk to parents about their choices make sure you at least get your facts straight.
