My first visit with Dr. Tsingine as my newly assigned primary care physician was far from pleasant. Being Native American and having experience working with Native American communities I feel it is extremely important to make not just native patients, but all patients feel comfortable as it takes a lot for Natives to take that initiative in taking the first steps in seeking medical care. Dr. Tsingine was very insensitive and dismissive to my medical concerns/conditions, when she first came into the consulting room, she made me feel rushed as she stood up leaning, slouched against the desk the entire time while speaking with me, I felt she got annoyed and irritated at my questions. A lot of elderly people are seen at PIMC and I can't help but think of my elderly parents and others that are very vulnerable that won't at most times speak and advocate for themselves when they receive the same unpleasant treatment, I received from Dr. Tsingine.
