She shrugged off my pain and seemed to have a predetermined diagnosis. I have got a second opinion and so grateful I did.

Very similar to last persons review. Waited 6 weeks to get an appointment with Dr. Howard as new patient. Wasn't told by office in Scottsdale that Dr Michel was relaxing Dr. Howard. She did no interview. Asked why I was there and left the room in about 3 minutes. She had the PA take me to the lab for a blood test. That's it. An hour an 1/2 in the office for this! Very unsatisfactory.

Dr. Michel has done an excellent job teaching me about RA and navigating a frustrating course to finally finding effective treatment. She is experienced, accurate and up-to-date. She takes a direct, no non-sense approach to disease management. I know, after 7 years as her patient, when I get into trouble, she responds quickly and effectively. She is my rheumatologist though, not my psychologist. That works well between us.

I have RA, Sjogrens, hashimotos thyroiditis and fibromyalgia. First appointment she did no exam or indepth interview. Asked me why I was there after I had waited 3 months for appointment. Handed me a paper to read on a drug, left the room, came back, told me take the drug and come back in 30 days. Severe reaction to drug, called, nurse said stop taking it. Waited 3 more weeks, still severe symptoms and when I go in i get, if you can't take the drug I can't help you. Not knowledgeable apparently.
