I was sent to Dr. Parikh for sudden vision loss. Dr. Parikh was extremely thorough, had me take many tests to diagnose my issue. After treatment for almost 2 months my vision is improving. I would highly recommend Dr. Parikh for anyone having inflammatory issues in the eye. The entire staff is professional, polite, and caring.

Dr. Parikh is the best ophthalmologist in New York City. He was so kind, caring, thoughtful, considerate, thorough, and knowledgeable. He also took his time to fully examine my eye in every possible way, and to explain what happened to me in a way that was better than 3 doctors I’d had seen earlier that week put together , multiplied by 100!!! When I first walked into the office, I was warmly greeted by the receptionist, Gisele—she was so warm, welcoming and sweet - a total ray of sunshine - which really set the tone for the rest of the visit. When I walked into Dr. Parikh's office, I immediately saw a framed statement about his commitment to his patients, asking God to give him strength and wisdom to treat every person he meets with care. I’ve never seen something like that in a doctor’s office before - WOW. He's so kind, caring, took all the time to explain SO MUCH and the entire staff is wonderful. Dr. Parikh has been treating my mother for Uveitis , which she experienced as a side effect of her metastatic melanoma treatment From the moment Dr Parikh met my very anxious mother, I knew she was in the best of hands! He is knowledgeable, thorough, and skilled, all while he is reassuring and calming in his delivery. I highly recommend Dr. Parikh!! He is WONDERFUL!

After experiencing a flare up of my iritis, and being left in the lurch by my previous ophthalmologist office, I found and contacted Dr. Parikh's office. His staff were kind, compassionate, and accommodating. They established me as a new patient and found me an appointment the next day. At the appointment, the office, technical, and medical support staff were also all lovely, and worked as a highly skilled and streamlined team. Dr. Parikh himself was kind and took the time to understand my history, assess the current condition of my eye, and clearly explain the proposed treatment. I am grateful to have found Dr. Parikh and his practice. (of note, I rarely do reviews online, but felt it was important to share my experience to help others identify a quality Uveitis specialist and practice in Dr. Parikh and team. Reviews by others helped me find Dr. Parikh and I hope mine will similarly help others.

I had a severe eye issue and was referred to Dr. Deep Parikh by Dr. Lawrence Jindra of Floral Park, NY. Dr. Parikh has a fantastic medical staff, easy parking in a garage (at no cost to you), and an easy walk into the building of his practice. Every visit, Dr. Parikh always communicates well, explains everything he needs to do to correct the difficult issues to be addressed, and always with a soft voice, a smile and a plan for the patients future, my future of sight. He is a doctor with a fantastic trained eye and hand (thank goodness). He is obviously very passionate about his work, and cares deeply for the excellent care of his patients. I have seen many doctors in my life, and he is certainly in the top of my list along side of a few other awesome doctors too. I trust him totally with the care of my eyesight. I was referred to Dr. Parikh by my Opthalmologist in urgent fashion. Dr. Parikh's office handled my call with astute sincerity and attention. I was able to see Dr. Parikh the same day. Dr. Parikh and his staff worked very well together and performed numerous tests over a 4 hour period. I was kept informed at all times. At the end, Dr. Parikh spent ample time with me to ensure I was fully knowledgable and aware of my condition and his analysis. The Dr. went even further in discussing my case with my referring opthalmologist as well as another Retina Specialist Dr. I am very grateful to Dr. Parikh and his office for their incredibly professional service and individualized attention. I would highly recommend.

Was Recommended by my ophthalmologist for an eye condition called scleritis. I was told that Dr.Parikh was a specialist in immune disorders of the eye. He was very thorough explained my condition ,treated it and recommended a Rheumatologist after taking tests to determine I needed to see one also. Dr Parikh and his staff are very knowledgeable and accommodating. You won’t be disappointed.

After consulting with 4 ophthalmologists to explain my sudden onset of blurry vision, I was fortunate enough to have been referred to Dr Deep Parikh, a Harvard trained super specialist with expertise in lesser known retinal conditions. He had treated several patients with what I was found to have …a rare and under diagnosed inflammatory syndrome called TINU involving the eye ( uveitis) and the kidney.With the proper blood work up and care of a nephrologist, I am hopefully on my way to recovery. Dr Parikh was quick to recognize my situation since he had treated others with this rare syndrome often associated with an autoimmune disease. Very few practitioners have ever even heard of TINU and so I am grateful to be under his care. The staff at Gentile Retina is friendly and accommodating as well….always a plus!
