Dr. Delia Wessels, MD

I cannot say enough positive things about this practice! Dr. Wessels is truly a one-of-a-kind pediatrician. She truly cares about not only her patients, but the families of her patients. She has extended her compassion and kindness to our family on so many occasions as we struggled with breast feeding issues, GERD, tongue ties, feeding difficulties, weight gain issues, and other less common diagnoses. She always meets us with a smile and a hug. Her knowledge is unparalleled. Not only does she carefully follow evidence-based practice, but she also comes with a wealth of knowledge from the challenges she faced while raising her own children. Even as smart as she is, she’s never been too arrogant to say “let me research that more and get back to you” when she’s met with less common, more challenging issues. She truly cares about the welfare of her patients, and not once have I ever felt rushed in an appointment with her. I also have had the privilege of knowing her on a professional level and have seen firsthand how she operates her practice with integrity and selflessness. While many people often do not take the time to leave a Google review when their experience is positive, if every one of Dr. Wessels’ patients’ families did, there would be an overwhelming number of five-star reviews. Her patients and their families love her. She truly sets the bar extremely high, and I tell all my friends to have Dr. Wessels as their family pediatrician! As an additional note, we also can’t sing Heather’s- one of the NPs- praises loud enough. She is equally as amazing and was my lifeline with my first baby. She’s so kind, knowledgeable, and dedicated. I can’t imagine having another NP/Pediatrician team managing the care of my boys! We love Allied Peds! :)

Dr. Wessels took care of our daughter’s tongue tie. At each appointment, she explained each step of the procedure and assured us along the way. She used laser technology for the procedure, which is quicker and less painful than scissors like other doctors use. Our daughter was happily nursing less than 5 minutes later. Highly recommend

Horrible

Dr. Delia has been our saving grace. My son Oliver had a tight upper lip tie of the fourth degree with an accompanying second degree tongue tie. Dr. Delia’s personality and aura along with her expertise made our experience a life-changing one. We would switch pediatricians in a heartbeat if it weren’t for the four-hour drive. Dr. Delia is everything a pediatrician should be!

I called to make an appointment and the receptionist asked me to wait for 5 minutes and I hung up. Ten minutes later, I called back and they asked me to wait again. So I asked her to call me back and she didn't. No respect to customers!!!

Dr.Wessel was our son's, JW's, doctor from his 4th month to 4 years old in Carson City, NV. Dr. Weasels was amazing to JW and us. She always took the time to listen and assess our concerns. JW loved her and we all miss Dr. Weasels. Highly recommend Dr. Wessels!
