Dr. Demetria Smith, MD

My experience was horrible. The doctor's office is not listed, and it shares the same parking lot as the hospital, making it difficult to find parking. I called 7 minutes after my 9:30 appointment to inform the staff that I was trying to find parking. I parked in medical building III and then walked to medical building II. I arrived at the office at 9:47, only to be told that my appointment was canceled, despite just speaking to them on the phone. The staff is rude, and no exceptions were willing to be made, even though I'm a new patient. I would understand if they had given me directions on how to get to their office, but they did not. I called and explained my parking situation, but no accommodations were made. I took time off work, but no exceptions were made for me to be seen by a doctor. I would NOT recommend this doctor or careACT.

Dr. Smith is very professional but me an my husband were out of town an he got gout an she would not prescribe his medication like she stated over the phone it's like she forgot. I didnt understand not only that. We called her about medication at 7pm out of town an dud not recieve his medication until the next morning. I dont know the doctors today ate mot taking pride in taking care of patients like in early 1990s. Its scarce because she totally never gives his RX together he would get 1 then 2 the next day an he would have to take two of those medications together. It was strange it happen too me too...so, why she's no longer practicing, have any clue its strange.they stated she on vacation then a couple days later, no longer practicing period. Now, I have to find another doctor for me an him. I'm picky, and now we have to start over...very irritating...

I love dr Smith shes no longer at Texas health.. I've just became her patient now shes gone, I dont understand. I want to go were she is..if she going into private practice, why isn't Texas health saying that... there stating she no longer practicing period! I'm trying to find put why would sge take me and my husband as new patients an then shes gone.

Dr Smith takes time for your visits. Listens to your needs and is very compassionate.

Dr Smith is very friend and professional. Every time I go to her I feel as though she truly cares about my well being. It’s refreshing to find a doctor who is committed to proper care of her patients and making sure they feel supported and valued. I will forever be a patient of Dr Smith!

I would never recommend this doctor to a person I cared for or a person I didn’t care for! She didn’t even call in the correct meds to my pharmacy, not to mention when I called her office the assistant had no clue what medications this doctor had prescribed for me. The office is so hot it’s uncomfortable and I pay out of pocket for a six month supply and because I had to page her due to her mistakes, she proceeded to chew me out over the phone and didn’t refill my meds. Real professional.

I have been with Dr. Smith for two years and today she really let me down. My wife has a very sore ankle, had to take off work because she cannot walk. It is Wednesday. We called for her to see us. She tried to make a Friday appointment! Since when do you have to make appointments for this? As many times as she has been late for our scheduled appointments due to other unexpected patients, this is the best she can do. Extremely disappointed. Perhaps we need a new doctor.

I am very impressed with Dr. Smith and her team. Her demeanor and bed-side manner was calm, positive, thorough, attentive and most of all personal. She is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. She took time to listen to my concerns and immediately had a plan for getting answers. I have already recommended her practice to my friends and will continue to refer to her practice..

My husband and I were looking for a new provider, we were so pleased! The office staff was so friendly,efficient and knowledgeable! We are so glad we made the decision to switch!

She is so sweet , She is a real doctor really professional , friendly and concern about your health.In this time is difficult to find a real Doctor like her.

I have been going to Dr Smith for roughly 8 months now. She is a very nice lady who seems to be genuinely caring. She definitely listens attentively and I've never felt rushed when she is listening or speaking. It's refreshing having a doctor who makes you feel like the only patient, even when she has other patients waiting for care. I highly recommend her for the family and my husband agrees, which is HUGH!
