The doc knows his stuff! Breaks it all down, keeps tabs on how you’re doing, and tweaks stuff perfectly. Saved me from some rough side effects that others would ignore, awesome doc!

Dr. Prota is awesome! He’s a guy who really gets me and doesn’t make me feel judged. I’ve been going to him for a bit, and he listens and keeps things simple. He helped me figure out what works for me, and I’m feeling way better now. Definitely recommend him, and have recommended him to friends

Dr. Prota was highly recommend by some of my friends and i decided to have a visit. I was very nervous and he could tell, but he made me feel like we were having a conversation. I felt very comfortable and time flew by, it got to a point that i felt he h ad known me for years.

He listens really well and gives the best advice on overall health. I am very fortunate to have had him as my doctor. :)

Dr. Prota doesn’t just focus on medication. We discussed lifestyle changes, mindfulness practices, and coping strategies. It felt like a journey towards feeling better.

Missed an appointment due to an ongoing health issues (checked back and the appointment was during my 1-day post operation visit with a different provider) and he kicked me out of his care (just before calling in the wrong medicine to get me by until I found someone else. Sleeping pills were called in instead of my antidepressant). Because of optometrist visits, a wave of retina surgeries and occupational therapy due to low vision, it was completely out of my thoughts until I had a medication issue. I voiced the situation I had been dealing with and was met by complete apathy, stating it was still my fault. Again, it was forgotten due to ongoing medical issues, not blown off because I just didn't feel like it.If you're in need of a psychiatrist, it's my opinion that empathy should be in their repertoire. This is why I feel another provider is in my best interest.

Dr. Prota is such a wonderful psychiatrist. He is not only very compassionate, but extremely concerned about any losses you may have experienced. He is brilliant in his field, and explains things in a way that I can understand. I always leave our sessions feeling so much better than when I got there! His forward thinking is refreshing, and gives me hope that I can continue to fight this bipolar disorder one day at a time through compliance, mindfulness, diet and exercise, and his expert knowledge of this disease. I feel that Dr. Prota truly cares, and is concerned for my wellbeing. I think he is a great choice to have on my side on my path to wellness.
