Worth the trip
Great visit! I am well aware I need a hip replacement, so I wasn’t looking for another answer. This was the 3rd orthopedic surgeon I consulted with because other practices did not follow up with questions and left me feeling very uneasy about proceeding. I am happy I made the trip to chicago, Dr Nam and the staff so far have exceeded my expectations and I am hopeful they will continue to.

Excellent Care
Dr Nam replaced two hips for me. I received excellent care throughout the process. He and his staff were kind, compassionate, and thorough. I rarely had to wait at my office visits. I also appreciated the post surgery texts which encouraged me in recovery. I would highly recommend Dr Nam and his team. They were awesome!

Knee Replacement
My visit with Dr Nom was great, after checking in I only had a few minute wait. The staff was fantastic everyone was professional and very knowledgeable in their roles. Dr Nam reviewed my medical history as well as the x-rays that were taken of my bad knee, he explained my best options which was to have a knee replacement. Dr Nam reviewed all the steps for the procedure and the steps with recovery.

Hip and Total knee replacement
Dr. Nam has completed two joint replacements for me. He is very thorough with his information and speaks in terms that are easily understood. Besides having a fantastic surgeon, the office visits have always been on time and run like a well oiled machine, Which is important for me as a working person. Every person on his team that I have had to interact with has also been very supportive, friendly, and informative. I would not hesitate to refer anyone to Dr. Nam.

Left total knee
Dr. Nam’s office, along with the whole process pre, intra, and post operatively is a well oiled machine. Everything runs smoothly. He explains everything in the office and the day of surgery asks if you have any questions or concerns. He sends weekly texts with messages and examples of exercises. Great experience!

Lifesaver!
Dr nam is a great surgeon ! Had my knee replaced in June and it was the smoothest easiest procedure! And today my knee is in no pain at all and I have a life back! But, I’m also going back in a few weeks to do the other knee! I highly recommend dr nam if your in pain and want to enjoy a pain free life!

Total Knee Replacement
Dr. Nam and his staff was very attentive to your needs. Understood the anxiety associated with the surgery. Willing to assist at all times. Very knowledgeable of what stages you are at post op. Have encouraging words to assure that you are on the right track,He has a very capable team who is on top of every visit that you have. Extremely good about responding to phone calls. Providing you an understanding of the medication and what you should continue to take and what you should not continue.I would use him again and I feel comfortable referring him to others.

Great First appointment
I had an appointment to evaluate my knees for replacement. I know that I will need to replace both of them eventually since they are bone on bone. Appointment was very efficient - from arrival through checkout. X-rays were taken when I arrived, his PA Sat and took a history - spending time to respond to questions and concerns. Dr Nam came in and did an examination after reviewing the history, and suggesting starting with some injections and see how those worked. He advised me iof surgery scheduling lead times, so I could plan. He was personable, spent time to answer questions and explained things well.

Concerned for my safety
I have a history of prosthetic joint infections, and I went to see Dr. Nam about getting a knee replacement. Since I had a recent shoulder replacement, he wants to wait to make sure I get through that without infection before scheduling my knee. I appreciate that he was more concerned for my well-being than for his fee.

Dr. Nam and his Fellow were very thorough
Dr. Nam was very patient with answering all my questions and concerns. He made feel confident and eased my fears about knee replacement. His office staff, especially Johanna was very helpful and did an excellent job of accommodating me concerning pre op visits

So Impressed!

The Only Dr. I will ever go to
Dr. Nam was extremely friendly and gave me great suggestions on how to move forward with my knee problems. His PA and staff are also very friendly and knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. Dr. Nam is the best! I won't go anywhere else.

PreOp Experience
Dr. Nam‘s staff is extraordinary! Everything you would expect to occur happens as expected and they give you all the signals for what’s coming up in the right sequence and the right timing. Any questions you have before surgery are promptly answered with details and specific guidance, which always proves out to be correct. While I have significant confidence in Dr. Nam, the staff that supports him is equal to the challenge of making any surgery experience successful.

Hip Surgery
Dr Nam did 2 hip replacement surgeries for me. From my first pre op visit his entire team made me comfortable and well informed. He himself has a very kind and reassuring approach . I would recommend him and his team without hesitation. I didn’t have any problems during my recovery at all. In fact I was doing physical therapy the very next day.

Finally found a doctor who could help me!
Dr. Nam is very precise and detail oriented and he runs a tight ship! He keeps his appointments running very close to the scheduled time and if they happen to run a few minutes behind they apologize for the inconvenience. His surgical care is top notch and there is communication all along the way to help answer questions or solve issues. No complaints about anything, and this was the 5th doctor I went to trying to get help. Thank you Dr. Nam for the excellent care!!!
