My appointment with Dr. Carter was to establish a treatment for a lung cancer. He and his staff explained the approach that he was taking in words that were clear to a non medical individual. This was done in a conversational and anxiety calming manner. Having never been a cancer patient before, I was greatly relieved to have Dr. Carter as my radiation oconolist. His approach was very easy to understand and the options he relayed to be were just what I needed to hear. The entire oncology team at RMCC were terrific to deal with being compassionate yet straight forward about the disease and the options for me. I would gladly recommend Dr. Carter to anyone especially thoser who might be faced with a diagnosis of breast cancer. Thank you all at RMCC!

Dr. Carter provided helpful information about radiation treatment. He is up to date on current strategies which proved very helpful in having minimal side effects as I went through 40 radiation treatments for prostate cancer. He is friendly, down to earth and it's been a pleasure to be treated by him.

Dr. Carter has been very attentive and kind to me and my needs as a cancer patient needing Radiation.

Smart. Affable. Takes time to explain things. But not pleased with the results he produced. He computed a sophisticated plan to radiate a pelvic lymph node tumor. The two week regimen was quick and tolerable. Thereafter, had to wait two months without further treatment to determine effectiveness. The tumor shrank some, but 9 new ones popped up in surrounding nodes. Dr. Carter seemed nonplussed by this turn of events. Be sure to discuss chemo or targeted therapy DURING radiation!
